Please forgive my absence...
I've been out enjoying spring.
morning drive photoshoots with Stanley
(I have a small window of opportunity between the
end of hockey and the beginning of golf)
brisk afternoon walks with no coat needed
listening to the birds twitterpating
drunk from eating fermented fruit
Welcome Spring...
so glad you could make it relatively on time this year.
"The first day of spring is one thing and the
first spring day is another. The difference between them
is sometimes as great as a month." ~ Henry Van Dyke

hooray to you!!! love the waxwings!
It's not really been "spring" here, but at least it's not 20 below and snowing! Happy Spring! Happy Cedar Waxwings! (LOVE them!)
so glad you are feeling spring..
How wonderful you've got spring and enjoying it a lot!
I hope you get to do lots of drive photoshoots with Stanley before golf season starts!
The bird is beautiful. Very unique color. The dark color around its eye reminded me of the movie Black Swan :-)
Have a lovely new week xoxo
What a sweet little one, Catherine.
I am so glad you are enjoying spring.
It's been a long time coming for sure.
Hooray, Spring finally found you!!!!
Sadly, Mr. Van Dyke is correct. :o/
That is a stunning photograph, Catherine! A waxwing of some sort, if I'm not mistaken. Beautiful!!

Happy Belated Birthday! Glad spring arrived on time. :)
Yea for you! Enjoy my friend Enjoy! Spring is glorious!
Beautiful photo. Spring is slowly winding its way here, too.
Dearest Catherine,
Oh so happy for you all that things start looking like spring!
We've missed the cedar waxwings this year, they might have skipped us because it was cold here?
Lovely photo.
Hugs,
Mariette
Lovely shot of the waxwing. Glad spring has arrived!
Cats of wildcat woods
Our clocks went back one hour at the weekend so I suppose it must be Autumn.
Interesting bird, enjoy your walks with no coat. xx
So glad Spring has finally sprung in your neck of the woods! Beautiful bird! Enjoy your time with Stanley before golf starts!
Hes a beauty. Happy Spring
Waxwings are my Mom's favorite birds! Lovely. We are just about glued outdoors too!
А у нас все по-прежнему, зима:)) А вас поздравляю с наступлением настоящей весны! Мои фотографии прогулки в лес есть в фотозале http://dom-nad-dvinoj2.blogspot.ru/
it's still trying to decide here if it wants to be spring or not. Glad you are enjoying some nice weather though
It's great ... Spring is here :-)
Greetings.
Yeah !!! enjoy spring darling.....love from me...x !
That is the truest spring quote I have ever come across...perfectly put especially for those of us who live in "these" kind of climates.
And hey, if you would like, I'd be more then willing to send the mosquitoes up to you. No problem.
Jen
Enjoy your time together. Hope Banjo is well.
Yay for you! Glad spring has sprung for you!
Glad you've got spring there finally. And great waxwing photo! They're one of my most favorite birds.
You are excused! We had an awful March here. Snow, snow snow. Finally this week is warming up, which is great, coz I have about 2 feet of white stuff to melt in my back yard!
Oh beautiful Waxwing! Happy little spring bugger! I want to hug him. :)
Happy Spring to you and Stanley!
Enjoy spring every minute you can .Here in Holland it's spring already for weeks .
Hugs Elisabeth
So glad you're enjoying lovely spring weather too, Catherine !
Lovely photo !
Nice week,
Sylvia
Spring has been a bit of a no-show for us but Mr. Sunshine arrived yesterday and stuck around for today so it's lookin' like spring has finally arrived. Paws crossed that it stays.
Purrs,
Nissy
YEA!! So glad your out and about enjoying spring my friend. I LOVE your photo.
Hugs~
Beautiful picture! You are amazing with that camera. I'm just lucky if I don't lose mine.
LOVE your Waxwing! and isn't that quote so true!!
Hooray for Spring! Gorgeous pic of the bird. Love the colors.
What truth there is in that quote!
Spring has arrived here too, with the temperature today at 17C. Amazing!
Lovely photo!
It's still hot tea and mittens here, referencing today's post. We haven't yet made it to plus double-digits and there still are a lot of crusty, icy snowbanks around, including in my back space.
But...I've seen a fair number of blooms coming now too, so that's encouraging!
Spring has been very fickle this year…here one day and gone the next…repeat…repeat…repeat. Your photo is exquisite. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Hello on a gorgeous, spring day in TENNESSEE. Wow---after the long and bitter winter we had this year, Spring is even more inviting and lovely.
Glad you are enjoying Spring.. I am too!!!!! Hope the weather doesn't get too cold for you this weekend...
We are now home 'again' --after our 5th trip since the end of February.... Seems as if we visited five different states --although the trips weren't planned for that reason... ha... BUT--as I always say, it's great to be home... I did publish a blog post today--so check it out when you have time. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
Spring has arrived here with the clash of thunder boomers and lightening strikes, high winds..and well..I just think it should have given me a tiny chance to enjoy it before it went right into tornado alley time.
