I was thinking about you when I was in Ontario doing all my Christmas shopping and enjoying the decorated stores. I just took down my fall decorations and cleaned the house and thought I would wait one more week before I decorate the house. The "boys" enjoy the Christmas atmosphere too. Have a great weekend. Miss you and our walks to Scentiments...did I spell that right?

My grandkids are right there with you….They insisted I help them decorate their rooms this week….I mean tree, lights around the room, decorated door. My daughter doesn't need to decorate, she can just take guests up to her kid's rooms…I say do what brings you joy….

I do love seeing all the Christmas decorations but I still think they put them out in the stores far too early

Dearest Catherine,
Sure with your climate it makes sense for decorating the home early and making it cozy for winter time!
Hope you can stay warm and well, without any cold or whatsoever.
Tuesday night it will be 20°F here in central Georgia... so much for the South; we still can't escape the Polar Vortex.
Sending you warm hugs,
Mariette

Hi Catherine! Good to get your comment today -- And it was good to be able to catch your post, because I've missed you! Your life is full of changes, and it looks to me you're embracing them, and finding that balance just in time for the holiday! :-) I'm never ready for the holidays, but for once, I actually have my cards--Now if I can just get them written and mailed...

All these decorations are so beautiful. Our Mom starts earlier and earlier with decorating each year 'cause it seems to take her longer and longer the older she gets. She's thinking of starting before Thanksgiving this year. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giullietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

I love the bird ornaments! I think I will look for some. I especially like the owls. Our tree will be in a new home this year. We move the second week of December. I think I'll make the movers leave the Christmas boxes on the main level of the house. It will make it a bit easier for me. :)

Hi Catherine, IF our Thanksgiving was in October like yours, I might feel differently about celebrating Christmas early.. I do love Christmas --but don't decorate until AFTER Thanksgiving.

Your decorations are gorgeous. I love the gorgeous little snowy owl...

Hugs,
Betsy

Good to see you posting again, Cat. :)
Love the Christmas season here too - we're getting our first 'real' snowfall here today, so out came my decorations this morning.
Hope you're doing well! :)
Cheers, kittykye
