A Bit of Happy

It was a long busy week.

Things that made me happy this week:

the warm sun reflecting off the water...

fragrant blossoms bursting with color...

fuzzy balls of sweetness...

ducks who don't fly away when taking their photo...

a Wilson's Phalarope having lunch...

an American Avocet giving me the 'stink eye'...

birds in flight over marshy wet grasses...

inquisitive baby cows...

volunteering to answer phones for the
First Annual SPCA "Give Me Shelter" Radiothon
(almost $22,000 was raised in 12 hours!!!)

a husband that gets out of bed at 5:30 am
to fill your vehicle with gas
as the only gas station that is open that early
is a "self-serve" station
and you were too tired to fill it the night before
and you are needing to leave for work
for a 620 km road trip...

sometimes it's those 'little things' that keep you going...

It's beautiful sunny warm here
I'm off to go buy dirt and flowers for my pots
and look forward to catching up with
blog reading this afternoon!

Happy Weekend!

Love the baby cows! Glad you had a lovely week! Thank Cod it's a state law that none of our gas stations are self serve - we haven't had to pump our own gas for 11 years unless we were outside of Oregon! :)

The beautiful scenery and lovely creatures all make me feel happy :-) The cows are very cute and even the stink eye made me smile! You are wonderful to help shelter babies. Congratulations on raising lot for them! And your husband fills gas for you that early in the morning. He is so sweet and amazing!
Thank you for giving me smile :-) Happy weekend!

You have some very different and interesting birds there though cows are mostly the same everywhere.
Well done for raising money for animal shelters.

Love, love, love your pictures. It was nice to know the names of some of those birds. Hope you are enjoying some relaxing time after a busy week. I wish that I was headed that way tomorrow....but perhaps sometime.

That is some beautiful week. How sweet of your husband to gas up your car. Somehow I can't see my husband doing it. He might remind me that I need to go get gas but I don't think he would do it for me

The last one is beautiful! :) I love focusing on the things that make us happy, there's too much sadness and stress in the world. This is a very good idea, thanks for sharing!

Hello There, We just got home from a great week--which was a terrific 'healing' experience for me --as I recover from gallbladder surgery followed by that wicked infection... You'll have to check out my blog post today (if you haven't done so yet).

Love this post... Made me smile... Life truly is so special--and many times, it's the LITTLE things which make us happy...

Hugs,
Betsy
