A Good Sign and In The Pink

As March draws to a close I am thankful
that spring seems to be gracing us early this year.

My yard has been free of snow for a couple weeks now
which is a vast difference to last year at this time.  (Ode to March 2013)

I take this as a good sign.

Perhaps I will not neglect my garden this year.
The melted snow has uncovered a lot of abandoned items from last year.

Keeping my fingers crossed
that Mother Nature is not teasing me.

Banjo Update: Banjo and I thank you for all your well wishes!  We are happy to report that although he had a rough patch up until Wednesday (turns out the antibiotics were making him sick), he quickly turned around after stopping them upon the vet's instructions and is back in the pink of health!!  :)

Happy to hear that Banjo is feeling much better.

And you have no snow? We have only just cleared that hurdle...our neighbors still have snow.

Way to go!

Our winter has been really harsh and we are just now discovering how the garden survived. Surprisingly, the pond inhabitants did well---in spite of their dead squirrel visitor. :(

I hope Banjo is doing better now. Poor buddy. :(

If you're missing the snow, you could come to our place. We still have quite a bit. *wink*

I think Banjo deserves a yummy treat for all the grief he's suffered this past week, poor fella. Give him a (gentle) squeeze from me.

Big Hug,

We're glad to read Banjo is feeling better now.

We had a snowstorm this morning, the heavy, wet kind. I have at least 2 - 3 inches (not cms) in my driveway that I refuse to shovel. I'm done.

Great news re Banjo!
It is amazing when spring arrives and you get out in the garden again at the stuff you find that had been forgotten to put inside.
Happy Sunday!

It is good that spring has come your way! The sun is shining more and some snow has melted leaving us still with about two and a half feet. I have a feeling the road into DL will be quite a muddy mess for awhile when it does turn to spring here. Happy Sunday. See you in four weeks!

I am so glad that Banjo is all better, Catherine!!

Spring is definitely late in coming here, and now they say we will have snow tomorrow. :-( Because winter came so early last year, we will have lots of "stuff" to clean out of the gardens. It is normally all done in the fall, but the snow came so early, and never left.

So good to hear Banjo is feeling better! Wonderful news.

If you could, please send spring down the highway. :) We had a bit of snow today, though it didn't last, and no melting at all.

Fingers crossed, it should arrive next week. Right?

Have a great week!

Glad also that you hopefully will get an early spring. Ours is VERY late this year so far... BUT--they say that warm weather is here to stay... I'll believe it when it happens... ha

Dearest Catherine,
So glad Banjo is feeling better. Poor things, they cannot talk and we have to guess and doesn't it make you sick knowing you paid for the antibiotics that caused him to feel even more miserable. Just love him and he'll heal.
So glad the snow has melted but we never know how often it can come back to frost and such. Like we even had down south... But now it's spring and we move foreward.
Had terrible internet and only now I manage to get into blogs.
Hugs,
Mariette

We had a happy 7th birthday for our 4 siblings; celebrated with their favorite - chicken breast cooked by their human mami.
