Healthy Favorites - Take One

Continuing on the road to good health
I am trying to add in more 'good stuff' whenever I can.

And since February is Heart Month,
and I took a vow not to discuss the weather this month,
I shall share some of my newest healthy favorites this month.

First up...

These organic, vegan, gluton free, kosher, super food Cacao Nibs are packed with fibre and protein! Add them to cookies, granola, ice cream, salads  - even tea!  Anywhere that you want just a little hit of the healthy!

Zhena's Gypsytea Chocolate Chai Tea is caffeine-free, organic, vegan, fair-trade and has a zest of ginger and cinnamon bark.  One of my favorite after supper teas.

Oh...and I'm also very into Polka Dots right now...
but that's another post for another day.

Wishing you a Happy Healthy Heart Smart week!

I'm back at the gym and not eating after dinner. I'm hoping that helps take some of this weight off.

I think the weather has a lot to do with letting it go. Spring is coming...right?

As you and I both know, it's best to stay healthy!!!!! We drink alot of David's teas and love them. However, I'm not a chocolate lover ---so don't care for chocolate tea....

Hugs,
Betsy

Oh that Chai tea sounds yummy! I'm trying to workout at least 30 minutes every day this month which is not as easy as it sounds after working 10 hour days and trying to find time for everything but I'll do my best!

Catherine! I have been hearing Cacao nibs mentioned often when watching healthy food talks on TV. Thanks for showing me what this is and the benefits! I guss more than just a choc. chip! I also have been focusing on healthy eating and the change I've made is "green" smoothies..packed with wide variety
of veggie greens..the energy I have now is of the charts!I mix veggies with fruits and other good stuff and drink one every morning!
Best way for me to eat my daily servings of veggies!
Lets drink to well being!

Just heard about cacao nibs on Dr. Oz today. Love chai tea and chocolate chai tea sounds yummy. I will have to check our Natural foods co-op for both these items. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

Dearest Catherine,
Some lovely finds and leave it to those Mayans for showing us the ropes! CHIA seeds come also from their wisdom.
Enjoy and stay cozy.
Hugs,
Mariette

I'm back at 5 day a week workouts--which helps all the way around. Will be on the lookout, Cat, for the Polka Dots! :)

I'm not a fan of chai, but the nibs sound interesting. There was a period a few years back when I was totally into polka dots, too. It's a fun pattern and I don't think I'm completely over that phase, to be honest.

We eat in a healthy manner at our house, and often choose low fat and always low sugar, and of course whole grains. You would like my new umbrella, it is clear with large polka dots on it, a gift from my oldest son.
