NEVER too old, especially if it involves something chocolate! :-)
I don't bake much anymore, because I eat it all, but no, one is never too old to lick the beaters, or the bowl! I used to hate that my own mom would scrap the batter out so that there really wasn't anything left to lick. She did let me have the beaters, though. :-)
...this is rich!!! rofl
it has been about 50 years since i last licked my mothers beaters. cute pic
It passes from one generation to the next....first your mom's, then yours, then your daugther's and then your granddaughter's....It never suppose to stop....
I live that caption, too funny!
Laughing!!! Loved this!
So true.Do you remember the first time they let you lick the beaters?Jen
Makes me wish there were some beaters to lick.
*snort* Now that one had me laughing out loud. That's always been a sure sign of a mother's love.
LOL! I love the comment on the picture :-) And love the bright smile! I think many of us never stop enjoying licking off the beaters :-)

Licking the beaters is a job that you're never too old to do! That's the best part of baking!

That was a special treat as a kid for me whenever cakes were being baked--and I was conveniently around the corner!

ha ha ha! I love it! I ALWAYS lick the beaters…when I'm finished of course. :-)
Boy I hope a person never gets to old to lick the beaters. I love to!
Mom says, "No way!" It is still one of her favorite things to do. She also thinks that cookie dough looks delicious! Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo.
Dearest Catherine,Love your practicality for turning them off FIRST!Hugs,Mariette
LOL!!! A good mom might possibly give the beaters to a son to lick instead of hoarding them for herself.... Oh, well! I'll have to baaaaad!! ;)
This is awesome ... :-)
Are you kidding? Those are the little joys of life. Delightful post. Cheers!!
Especially when I make whipped cream...oh my goodness...HEAVEN.

The best part of baking!
I just licked off the beaters a few days ago. So no way. Never too old!
Great childhood memories here. Thanks for sharing, and warm greetings from Montreal.
Nope! One advantage in having an empty nest is that I frequently get to be the kid when something needs to be licked. Chocolate cookies anyone?Kat
Never too old! My hubby is the baker in the family and I'm always asking him to lick the beaters. And it also brings back FUN childhood memories with my Mom :)
Only lovely blog comments please. Anything else will be deleted... :)xo Catherine
