...and Happy Friday to you too!! By golly, I think we just may have some sunshine today...it's been a long time since the dark, dreary, clouds broke loose. I'm looking forward to it!!

I've already got the snuggling with a blanket and cup of tea down and all before 8am. Happy New Year Catherine, may it be all you wish for and so much more.

Good plans for the new year, Catherine. Now in this relentless cold the newly converted snowbird Troutbirders are heading for much warmer climes....:(

Those are wonderful weekend plans, but who has time for lazy weekends? They're for all the errands and cleaning I don't have time (or energy) to do during the week. LOL.

Plus we're bracing for another snowstorm on Sunday and into Monday, so these January days are very, VERY long.

And we have too many days till Spring, IMO!

I just LOVE this photograph, Catherine. What a great holiday card it would make!

A lazy weekend sounds just perfect to me, and besides, it is so unbearably cold here that there's not much choice.

Have a fantastic weekend!!

We think alike! That's exactly what we're hoping to do this weekend. I think we both need a couple of days of rest and relaxation.

Stay warm & cozy!

What cute little bells! Yes, the countdown begins now for me. I can do without January and most of February, except for the four birthdays that we celebrate those months. Brrrr-teen is not my favorite temperature.

Dearest Catherine,
Oh, how we love to drink tea and warming our hands... It is snuggle time here as well as we had a mean night with -8°C with the windchill factor. Hate that mean cold wind! One wants to hibernate with such weather; so much for down duvets with flannel covers! Stay cozy.
Hugs,
Mariette

Yes, I'm looking forward to alot of the winter "nothings" as well. The simpleness of keeping warm by the fire and watching the white stuff fall. Aloha

Ohhhh...I know these next few months can be so very long for you! But you are so "glass half full"! Blankets, snuggling, tea and movies? There's no better way to get through it! Wishing you the most wonderful year yet, my friend. xo
