Love the socks! Your cat looks pretty calm about the coming new year. I'm ready too....I think!
I love your pictures. They always make me smile. I still have all my decorations up and they will stay up until after New Year's and then the clean up is quick and painful. 50 days until my cruise! Happy New Year!
Nope, not ready for it but like you say, bring it on! Your holidays look lovely and of course Banjo is as adorable as ever!
Honestly...? No. Normally, I look forward to the fresh start that a new year represents. This year, I'm oddly reluctant to enter 2014. I feel like Linus with his blanket. *grin*I love your spunk though! Must be the new socks. *wink*Happy New Year!!Carolynn
Glad you had lovely Christmas. Banjo I love the decoations on your cat tree. Hope that the New year will bring lots of great things. Banjo hugs a good, sending you some. :)
Sounds like you had a lovely Christmas. Santa socks are a tradition here too!But you are way ahead of me. The tree and decorations will stay up until after the first week in January (another family tradition plus I'm lazy!)Looking forward to the New Year! Stay warm.
Indeed we are. And it's a first ever snowbird outing was south for us. I've finally given in to the notion that life here on the Minnesota Tundra may be getting a bit harsh for us aged retirees.
I love socks for Christmas. Seriously. The warm, thermal kind that keep my feet warm in my big, clunky boots. :-)I don't know that I'm ready for 2014, but I'll be "armed" with all those wonderful words from the comments on my post. Including the "naughty" ones. LOL.Happy New Year, Catherine. I wish you Joy, I wish you laughter and light-heartedness...and I wish you a significant lottery win. :-D

I always liked keeping decorations up until the New Year...especially if you only get the tree up a few days before Christmas, like we did.

Oh my this made me laugh! That's all I asked for this Christmas...warm wooly socks...MATCHING!!! For everyone knows that I don't always where matching socks. There is a treasure trove of mismatched socks in this homestead. We all where boots, so you can't really tell that we don't match. Whatever. Sock Santa was good this year! Aloha and HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOURS.
We wish you a pleasant year changeUntil next yearRW & SK

Oh, I'm ready. I'm especially ready to get back to some healthy eating after all that sugar... but... I have to ask.. what is in that photo up there???? Is that some sort of delicious mouth watering homemade cinnamon bun thing with a cinnamony sticky layer of icing on top???? Oh my god that looks good!!!!Yes. Back to healthy eating. Just as soon as all the chocolate has left my kitchen.
