A Month Of Downs and Ups

Goodbye November...you were:
  • The start of winter
  • One day of kindness
  • Too many long work days
  • A lovely spa and shopping get-a-way with Stanley
  • Too heavy for my mind, heart and soul
  • A fun Sunday morning tea visit with a sweet friend
  • The sadness of another dear friend's health
  • Finding the joy of putting my Christmas tree up

Wishing you a Saturday full of 'ups'!

Your tree is beautiful, Catherine. Now you have the month to enjoy it. Ours is going up tomorrow and I can't wait. Banjo looks wonderful and he's such a good boy to not bother your tree. Audrey...well...

Life is a series of ups and downs, ebbs and flows, laughter and tears. It has ever been thus. May your December be filled with a series of ups in sharp contrast to your experience of November. Would love to get together for a visit!

November always seems like such a long month. I am glad that we were able to break it up by a trip to the Yukon and to Swift Current. Happy thoughts for December!

Dearest Catherine,
Sorry to read that you lost another sweet friend.
Life really has ups and downs.
November was also the month that we had to put our Smokey boy (the one that was set out here on our property) to sleep. Our most expensive cat ever and we tried to give him his health back but in vain. How cruel can others be for torturing their kitten and letting it starve? He at least knew true human love...
Hugs,
Mariette

Who says November is gone?!?!

Alright, my friend. May I tell you a curious tale? October was spent in denial that summer was over. Tom and I had spent most of the summer months indoors working on house projects. We had a deadline and it took all of our resources and we never went anywhere, at all. Well, unless you count California in April - but... that was a long time ago!

Then, my parents came and, well... between you and I - I felt like I was running a restaurant. I would cook and do dishes and cook and do dishes - hardly any photographs or walks or just autumn time. But it was nice to have them come, of course.

Then, I was just starting to feel all autumnal and working on autumny images when I was hijacked back into the house project - in the attic, painting for two+ weeks - everything on hold. Then, I had a migraine. And, here I am. Just give me a few more days of autumn, please!!

What's that you say? Christmas is a coming? Can't hear yo-ouuuuu. ;)

Oh, sigh.

But Tom and I feel so freeeeee!!! FREEE!!!! Our project is done!! (enough, anyway!) and we can work at our own pace! I just have to thaw out my heart! How do I blog about this? sigh.

Anyhoo! Do you think my blog friends remember that I exist? ;)

Well! Thinking of you.... appreciating you... =) Be well, Cat!! xxoo =)
