I Think I Love You

No, not Stanley
(I know I love him)

No my friends,
I am talking about my FIRST TV star childhood love
David Cassidy...
a.k.a. Keith Partridge from the Partridge Family

I am going to see him in concert tonight
with my friend Corinne!!!!!
And have not been more excited for anything
in my whole entire life!!!!!!!!

Yes...
you can point of the fact that
he recently got arrested for a DUI
and we can talk about the fact that
he is 15 years older than me
and that he's had
more 'nips and tucks' on his face than Joan Rivers
and that he can NOT hold a candle to my
younger than me, silver fox Stanley...

But the fact is he still represents
a part of my childhood that I took refuge in.

He was the boy that was there for me
after a day of getting bullied and/or
having no one to play with at recess.

Watching him and his family on TV.
Listening to his albums and songs on the radio.
These are bitter sweet memories for me.

So tonight I look forward
with much anticipation, excitement and joy
to seeing a boy from my past
that helped me through a very hard part of my life.

Thank you David Cassidy for being there...

Oh. my. gosh. I LOVED David Cassidy. I still have my Partridge Family albums...seriously...I do. And I went to see him live onstage in the 80's in "little Johnny Jones"...he was fabulous.

Who cares if he's boozin' it....I still love him. Please tell me he was still good....

I am so glad you got to do this for yourself. I knew he'd had some problems but thought he'd cleaned up his act. You may be able to tell that I am working backwards through your posts so know he only played for an hour. But if the ticket was only $45, you got your monies worth. Glad you could close your eyes and imagine! Janet

Of course I am behind in my blog reading and this is oh so old news, but lucky you!!! I loved David Cassidy. I did a blog post on that my husband was choice number four after David Cassidy, Davey Jones, and Donny Osmond.
