And I'm Happy and Thankful for That

It's hard to believe that we are celebrating
Thanksgiving already here in Canada.
How did it get here again so fast?

I am thankful for:

  • Being able to enjoy a week with hubby in Banff and Victoria this year
  • My family being healthy and happy
  • Good friends
  • Having a good job
  • A roof over my head and food in my cupboard
  • Lovely blog friends

And an update on the David Cassidy concert last night:
if you could ignore the fact that
he looked VERY 'rough around the edges',
that he was clearly under the influence of something
and that he only played for 1 hour (what????),
as long as you kept your eyes closed and didn't watch him,
you could imagine being back in the 70's listening to him.

I am Happy and Thankful to report that he can still sing!  :)

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!

Have a beautiful long weekend!

Such an adorable graphic. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Catherine.

I was just thinking this morning, walking in to work, that here it is, Thanksgiving already. Next up, Halloween. Then Remembrance Day, and then, my gosh, Christmas. My mind still is back in oh, May. I find the speed with which the years pass to be quite frightening. LOL.

As for the concert...Well, at least he can still sing. :-D

Happy Thanksgiving Cathryn, I love your grateful list.
I noticed that David isn't aging too great when I saw him on tv. I'm glad though he still has that voice!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I love the graphic also...so cute. As for the concert - well, some people don't age as well as others. But you'll always have your memories.

It harsh when we bump up against an adolescent memory in the here & now. Glad to hear you enjoyed the concert, nevertheless.

I love your little tree magnet...I got one on my second visit to the fair, too. *smile*

There is so much to be grateful for, isn't there?

I'm grateful to name you friend.

Have a blessed day,
Carolynn

Happy Thanksgiving!! So glad your visit with David was well. One hour only though, wow. Someones making big bucks. Happy to note he can still sing, besides with your eyes closed it would have been more romantic like he was singing just to you.

Catherine: A friend of mine had been given a handful of free tickets from work and a group of us saw David in concert here. He played for about 90 minutes, was funny, laughed at himself a lot, and did a nice show. I did feel that he could have used a stronger backup band. But the night was a good one. Have a nice weekend!

It seems I have to close my eyes when I see & hear a lot of my old favorites..especially the ones who have destroyed their looks with plastic surgery. It hurts to look at some of them. Glad you had a wonderful time, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you Catherine! Lol you made me laugh about David Cassidy...The last time I think I "saw" him was some kind of mug shot in the newspaper. :-) Still have my Partridge Family Album.

Happy Thanksgiving Catherine! I too was a David Cassidy fan when I was in grade 6. I can't imagine what he would look like today? Think it may be better to remember him as he was, but glad you had fun at the concert!

Oh poor David ~ it did make me giggle a bit though.

Happy Thanksgiving. I went to a concert by an old teenage idol once. He was late, fat, sweaty and had towels placed at various places around the stage to mop up the sweat.
But like your David he could still sing...a bit anyway. XX

You do have much to be thankful for as we all do. We hope your Thanksgiving was wonderpurr. The pawrents were in Canada for ten days (Montreal and Quebec City) which is why we are so hopelessly behind on reading and commenting. Please forgive us. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
