The Bright Side of Cold Rain

It must be so wonderful
to have flowers blooming
all year long as they do on the
West Coast of Canada and other parts of the world.

We've had frost twice now.
This morning it is 5c (41F) and raining.

On the bright side...
I get to wear my new rain coat to work today!

:)

Happy Wednesday!

We are having"sun", which is unusual in Normandy at this time of year... We are used to wear raincoat most of the year! I am sure you look great in your new raincoat!!!

Lovely floral shot!

It's been chilly here in the mornings too, though the days still warm up nicely. The house was 64F when I got home yesterday, though, so on went the heat. :-(

Yes, it is wonderful to have green grass and bright flowers blooming at all times of the year on the Coast. I remember it well. There's a different kind of beauty here though and, even though it's raining buckets today, the blue sky will return soon. On the coast, you'd be hunkering down for another 5 months of the stuff. Blech.

Enjoy your new raincoat!

Oooo, gorgeous pink dahlia!

We have flowers all year here in Oregon. Not many kinds, but some. We also get soggy, spongy ground. Lol. And sometimes i feel i grow a little mold myself we have so much rain!

The flowers are pretty much spent here. That's a beautiful photo.

Gorgeous shot....Here in George we are still in the 80's so the flowers are still blooming but when I get back to N,C. it will be much cooler and the flowers are pretty much gone.
Enjoy your new raincoat..I need one here today as it is pouring down rain....

WOW! What a pretty flower. Thats one way to get excited about the weather. Buy a new coat. Very smart my friend.

The camp host stopped by this morning and told us to make sure we unhook from the water before we go to bed tonight because we are suppose to get a freeze tonight. YIKES. That doesn't sound good. This desert rat isn't used to this cold weather...

Hugs~

Yes indeed it does... but then again it makes us appreciate the summer days we do have. ;)

Flowers all year are nice although once the rainy season sets in I tend to only notice that yes it is raining again. Then once our rain continues on and on and on...I look forward to counting with the weathermen the days we've had of rain in hopes of breaking a rain record.

I totally agree with Carolynn, having lived all of my life with the blooming flowers, and ahem the rain, it's much nicer up here in the Okanagan.

Gorgeous shot, it's absolutely beautiful.

It's been chilly here in the mornings but no rain

The flower is beautiful, I would have liked, though blossomed with us all year ... otherwise I laughed, on the other hand, a new coat in the rain is not too bad thing :-)

This is beautiful, Catherine!
we've not had a real hard frost yet, but I am sure it will be any time now. I have one very large dahlia that is just beginning to bloom, so I hope the frost waits just a little while longer.

The flower is beautiful! If it wasn't for the flowers and green grass all year, it'd be hard to handle all the rains on this west side.

oh, yuck. It's chilly here, but no cold rain. It was quite an adjustment coming back from an island to fall weather.

Frost already! It's berm cold and rainy here, too, but the low has been in upper 50s so far. It's great you got to wear your new rain coat :-) Your photo of the flowers is so beautiful! This bright lovely flower must be reflecting your happy feeling :-)

I'm forever amazed at the variations of seasons throughout the country! It's easy to take where we live for granted. A brutally hot summer is just now winding up here in Arizona!

My son is in Colorado and waking up to the same type of weather. He says it still warms up during the day, when it's not raining -- but pretty soon he is gonna need that heavy winter coat and boots. :) Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy

Isn't it nice on a grey and rainy day that even something that would normally be insignificant can make us happy as your raincoat did for you. XO, Janet
