Now The Dust Bunnies Are Taunting Me!

Don't you hate it when you are sure you have
lots of photos of your house for 'before'
and so you don't take any and then you realize
you totally don't have many 'before' photos?

Or at least not ones that aren't highlighting your cat??

Oh well...
These should give you an idea of the 'before'.

So...

Master Bedroom - before (top)
after (bottom)

Computer Room - before (top left)
after (bottom left)

Spare Bedroom - no before
(picture the same light flooring from the computer room and taupe walls)
and then after (top and bottom right)

Stairs and landing - before (top left)
after (top right - notice the painted railings...ugg!  what a job!)

And then the hallway and living room - no before (honestly...tsk...)
but really, it's about the carpet being gone
and the taupe walls replaced by 'abalone'
with the two accent walls 'star dust'

So while there is still the little
odds and ends to do
(baseboards, trim, computer room closet)
we are pretty much complete.

I am very pleased with how it turned out.

Now if you will excuse me,
I have to go Swiffer my floors.

Those dust bunnies are no longer hiding in my carpet
but rather taunting me from every corner of my house...

It all looks wonderful (and very tidy!) I like the variegation in the flooring and I'm a huge fan of the calm, cool colors.

Enjoy your hard work!

Looks GREAT! WOW! You sure did a LOT of work!

You will love having the carpet gone. You really won't have that many dust bunnies--not in comparison. The carpeting held all the dust...now it...uh....I dunno...goes somewhere else. :)

Everything looks fabulous! Love the new colors in the master bedroom! We have life size dust bunnies on our tile floors and the wood floor downstairs every day it seems so I can only imagine how they're taunting you! Maybe ours is due to Angel's long hair since they are big, white and soft! :) She hates to be combed.

Your new colors are fabulous! I want to get rid of all of our carpet but it's probably going to be at least a year before we tackle that project.

nice and that new flooring is fantastic...my friend in BC did her flooring similar and it is a 'rockin game changer' and yes the dust bunnies tend to float around with no carpet. very nice renos!

YAY SWIFFER! so easy to use. Carpet be gone! We have a bit of carpet in our new house, in the bedrooms, and although it feels good underfoot in the winter months, I'm not sure it will stay. Love your new flooring!!

Your home looks beautiful, I love the colours you used in the bedroom. Do feel sorry for poor Banjo with the wooden floor. :) Give him a big hug. Enjoy your weekend. :)

Everything looks fantastic. I love that bright green colour.
Sorry to read about Banjo's ailment but I know he's in the best of hands and he'll live a good, long life.
Enjoy the Labour Day weekend... can you believe it the Summer has just sped by.

Wow how nice! I love the new look of your home very much! Must have been really hard work (especially railings!) but turned out so beautiful!

Oh! Those absolutely hideous dust bunnies! Ick!!

The changes are wonderful! It all looks stunning, and what a lovely shade of green. But i don't see Banjo featured here anywhere! And was such a BIG help! Lol.

The colors you have chosen are so serene. My experience with dust bunnies is that they grow!

Wow! It looks like HGTV paid a visit. Very very nice - and you did it all yourselves? I am so impressed.

It looks fabulous! I love the new flooring - I don't like carpet, especially when there are animals in the house. The colours are wonderful too and everything looks so crisp, cool, and calm. Excellent job.

Everything sure does look nice!

It all looks great. You guys did a fabulous job.
It seems like those dust bunnies regenerate themselves really fast too, at least in my house

Dearest Catherine,
WOW, you did the entire house... What a major job but it looks so smooth now. So you have the living room upstairs, kind of half way. Banjo can perch himself nicely for a great view.
Enjoy your easy-to-spot dust bunnies!
Hugs,
Mariette

That's the thing about hardwood floors. Easy to clean, but the cat hair accumulation shows up like tumbleweeds blowing across the desert. Mom says she can't believe how much you have accomplished. She really likes the new decor of the master bedroom. Very relaxing. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
