Sunday Morning Thoughts

"Did you ever stop to think, and forget to start again?"
~ A.A. Milne

I've been trying to sit outside each morning
for at least 20 minutes before heading to work
to drink my tea
watch the birds
collect my thoughts
and enjoy the morning sunshine
while good for the soul
it's cutting into my blog time
but I am not worried
for I know that before long
the warm mornings will be gone
and winter will be at my door once more

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday!
xo Catherine

Sounds nice and relaxing! :). Just stop thinking about nasty winter. Stop to think and don't start again! Lol. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Sounds like a good thing to do. The summer days end far too soon.

We don't want to think of winter coming but it's nice to have summer linger! Enjoy your relaxing mornings!

Yes, indeed! I know all about lack of time. I've been enjoying moments and haven't had time for blogging or crafting. One of these days I'll strike a balance. Happy day to you. Tammy

I woke to overcast skies this morning, but the sun appears to be trying to make an appearance. I plan to spend the afternoon out on the deck enjoying the rest of the day.

(Not going to think about winter yet!)

Have a great day!

if i were still working, there would be no blogging, i don't know how you all do it... when i worked i was rarely on the computer at home, i spent 10 hours plus a day at work on one, so when i came home it was rare for me to even email....

I bet those 20 minutes are some of the most wisely spent ones every day.

early morning is about the only time you CAN sit outside here now. too hot otherwise. too skeetery at night!

That's the absolute best time of the day, when all (most) is quiet, only the birds waking up, still dark. I sit out back with the boys at 4AM - 4:30AM and drink my coffee, love the peace.

I think we need to seize the moments when they are there, blogs will wait, sunshine and bird song won't. Good idea.

YES---enjoy being outside while you can... Winter comes early in your neck of the woods!!!!

George and I take 30 minutes every morning to do our devotions.. Even when we are busy, we take the time. It makes the day go by much smoother...

Hugs,
Betsy

It is very nice to have outside relaxing time before going to work. I tend to sleep as long as time allows, so never have such time... Though, I do it in the weekend :-)
Wishing you wonderful Sunday xoxo

How wonderful that you are able to do this, Catherine!
Here in NY, winters are really long, so I try to take advantage of every nice warm weather day that we have.

I hope you've had a wonderful weekend!

Oh, you and I are on the same parallel these days!! I'm soooo not into being on the computer these days...instead, I'm outside fussing with the pond, being with friends, or just sitting and reading. I've got no good stories to tell, no fun adventures worth reporting, and I'm convinced I'm just an overall bore these days.

No worries. Winter will be here soon enough and we'll be back to story-telling. :)

Glad it's not just me!

It's a fabulous way to start the day. I'm doing much the same thing, a little stroll with my animals on the property and 20 minutes or so with a journal before my day begins in earnest.

Sadly, this beautiful weather won't last forever. Enjoy it while you can!

what a nice way to start the day off. I don't have time to do that in the morning and I'm not willing to get up any earlier than I already do

There's never enough time for everything...but I think you're making the right choice! Enjoy it!

That's the trouble with stopping to think, too hard to start up again. I'm sure too much thinking is bad for your health. We are having lots of warm sunny days here even though it is mid-winter. XX

This is so lovely, and the 20 minutes enjoying nature is so much better than sitting at the computer. I must remember to do this. Janet
