31 Days of May ~ A Project ~ May 25, 26 & 27

May 25:
  • Be grateful for a sweet friend who reads between your lines and can feel your desperation.  When she calls you and invites you out to her acreage for a little animal therapy ~ jump at the chance! Donna from kirkville, you have a compassionate soul and I thank you for your friendship.
  • Soak up the serenity that walking around her land provides.

  • Taking another friend along for the ride, Corinne (Vancouver last October), who is a crazy cat lover as well always adds to the enjoyment.

  •  Sylvester, the polydactyl Manx kitty soaking up the love.

  •  Watch the sweet pup named Summer survey her land.

  •  Enjoy watching baby geese swimming.

  • Feed the horses

  •  Once in awhile look up ~ you never know what you might see.

  •  Take a horse's advice on not taking life or yourself too seriously.
  • End the visit with a cup of tea and some snacks and perhaps a bit of talking and laughing.  Thank you for a wonderful morning Donna!  It was very much appreciated and exactly what 'the doctor ordered'.
  • Don't get insulted when the geese give you their true opinion of you stopping along the side of the road to take photos of them and their babies.

May 26:
  • Although you said you wouldn't plant any pots this year (no time and not in the mood), break down and buy yourself a cool green pot for the front of your house and add a little curb appeal.

  • Walk along the creek and the golf course with your sweetie.  See?? There's trees in Saskatchewan!

May 27:
  • Savor the dessert your sweet friend Penny from A Penny for My Thoughts (and from my "My Lucky Penny" post last year) brought to you today after spying it on her blog.  Walk an extra 15 minutes in the evening to wear it off.  :)  Thanks Penny it was very yummy!

31 Days of May ~ A Project ~ Day 21, 22, 23 & 24

May 21:
  • Take the dessert you made out to your blog friend Carolynn's (a glowing ember) house and have coffee/tea and dessert to introduce the hubbies.  Laugh all evening and stay out waaay past your bed time (9:45 pm).
NOTE: This is only an actor portrayal of the four us (had you fooled didn't I??) since we didn't take a photo.  But truly, we were two good lookin' couples.  :)
Stanley & I and Carolynn & her 'Frenchman'

May 22:
  • Enjoy unexpected quests that drop by.

May 23:
  • Start your morning off with a little Mary Jane (wanna) that you just bought.  Hemp...the legal kind.  ;)
  • Take delight in the little surprise "Thank You" card that your friend Carolynn left for you at your work.  Made by blogger Jen (Muddy Boot Dreams).  So pretty Jen! (Jen is the blogger that introduced me to Carolynn's blog just before Carolynn moved to Swift Current and that's how Carolynn and I became friends!)

May 24:
  • As it is windy and pouring rain when you get off work at 1:30 pm on Friday, make yourself a big bowl of popcorn for lunch.  Use a spray bottle to spray your butter on, thus getting all your popcorn evenly coated with using less than a tablespoon of butter.
  •  Watch Ellen while eating your popcorn.
  • Marvel in the beauty of your bark yard when all of a sudden around 4 pm the rain stops, the wind stops, the blue sky appears and the sun shines so warmly.  Just in time for Friday Night Date Night and a long evening walk with your sweetie.

31 Days of May ~ A Project ~ Day 19 & 20

May 19:
  • Gorge yourself on in-season fresh berries

  • Be inspired by the colors of the berries and buy yourself a new lipstain (since you never wear lipstick as you just lick it off so you try the stain to see if it will stay on longer)

  • Take delight in the color yellow

  • Take 1000 photos of your cat

May 20:
  • Find ART in unexpected places

  • Watch the wisps of fluffy flowers blow gently in the warm breeze ~ imagine you can hear someone from "Whoville" calling your name...

  • Take a few extra photos of the flower as you think it's so pretty (even though you aren't even sure if it is a flower or simply one that has now gone to seed)

  • Watch a kitty stalking it's pray (soon to have a big ol' mouse hanging out of it's mouth...eeeww...)

  • Lick the spoon when you make dessert

31 Days of May ~ A Project ~ Day 10, 11 & 12

May 10:
  • Put your morning smoothie in a cup bought for a worthy cause and take it to work to drink.

  • Take advantage of the fact that you only work until 1:30 pm on Fridays, go for a long walk (60 minutes) when you get home, fill your 24 inch tub up to the tippy tippy top, add bubbles, drink a skinny chia latte while soaking in a hot bath for 1/2 hour, get ready for date night.

May 11:
  • Spend the day walking (80 minutes), shopping (new white capris) and watching your backyard wildlife (the nuthatch brings me such joy).

  • Delight in the fact that the birds and the bunnies are so used to you, they don't mind you sharing their space.

May 12:
  • Another morning walk (65 minutes), followed by a country drive with your sweetie.  Stop and take a photo (or 2 or 3 or 4...) of wildflowers.

  • Be so very thankful that the day is sunny, bright and warm (30c/86F) with no wind.

  • Marvel at the fact that the water is so low at the Saskatchewan Landing, you are able to walk and walk on a sandy beach where water usually is this time of year.

  • Watch a big black and white bee fly from twig to twig.

  • Contemplate opening a message in a bottle.  Think better of it since you don't want to leave glass on the beach.  Then hope it's not from someone stranded on an island needing help.

  • Enjoy the simplicity of a feather nestled in the sand.

  • Take over 400 photos of things on the beach that hold your interest, make you smile, you think are pretty...

  • Scream out in surprise and delight as you notice a figure running through the park...take a photo...finally...a perfectly clear photo of Sasquatch...

  • Be VERY grateful for one of the most enjoyable days that you've had in a very long time.  (Oh there you are laughter...I was beginning to wonder where you were....)

to be continued...

P.S. The photo of Sasquatch is not real...but the photo of me laughing is... ;)
