Breaking Free

The garden woke up this weekend...

breaking free from the long winter months...

garden trinkets left out in the elements...

now soaking up the sunshine...

bugs starting to stir...

much yard work needing to be done...

but Stanley shirks his yard work duties for his golf clubs...

yup...

spring is officially here...

Looks like he didn't even wait for the ice on the grass to fully melt! But yay for spring finally here!

Cute post... I guess I'll have to admit that golf looks more appealing than yardwork.. BUT--we are certainly doing our share of yardwork around here now....

Glad spring is finally making an appearance.

Hugs,
Betsy

Hee hee -- I can't blame him. I'd rather sit and watch the birds myself than tackle the lawn. :)

And isn't it a treat?!

Yes, that's a definite sign of spring, the male packing up golf clubs and deserting the premises for the fairway. LOL.

BTW, Old Kitty was correct, the bird is a white-throated sparrow. Pretty little thing, I'm not sure I've ever actually *seen* one, just heard their song!

Hee hee golf duty is very important :-) How nice the spring is really in your area! The winter has been too long. We are having lots of spring shower lately and it's been little bit chilly. I hope rain will go away and warms up soon.
I wish you a happy new week!

I'm actually envious. We've already got 35 degrees Celsius and sun sun sun for the next 6 months (the earth is bone dry already). Maybe we could share it more evenly - I'd be happy to take off 15 degrees off our weather and send it to you, what do you say?! Hope all is well with you and that gorgeous famous boy!
Hugs from Greece,
Joan

Dearest Catherine,
Stanley would declare US for crazy for having been for 10 days at a golfer's PARADISE without even hitting a ball. Maybe next life?
Glad that your garden is awakening.
Hugs to you loyal friend,
Mariette
