10 Seconds of Obliviousness

Don't you LOVE those
first 10 seconds of OBLIVIOUSNESS
when you first wake up
and all your thoughts, worries and stresses
from the day before haven't yet
popped back into your mind
to GREY out your HAPPY feelings...??

and then you remember it's FRIDAY
and that greyness in your brain
starts to break up a little
to let a small stream of
happiness and hope back in....

Happy Friday!

It works the other way for me - often, I wake up feeling dismal, and then within a few seconds, realisation floods in that no, I don't work any more, and that I am free! Retirement is a wonderful thing,.....

Beautiful tulips, Catherine. Ours are blooming here --and we saw TONS of them at Biltmore this past Tuesday.

Keep that happiness and hope going!!!!

The only thing better than Fridays are Saturdays...waking up and knowing that you don't have to jump out of bed. Wait, I am going to have two years of that. It might get boring....nahhh! Have a great weekend!

Even better when it's Saturday, and you know that later in the day you will be celebrating a sweet baby's first birthday. And there will be cake.

What glorious tulips. We always wake the humans up before they are ready so they never get to have that warm fuzzy feeling, but since they are retired, everyday is the weekend and they have very little stress unless we've been naughty during the night. MOL. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
