Ode to March

Good-bye March

you were
too much snow
stormy weather
in like a lion
out like a lion
as it is snowing today again
you could not leave with grace?
although one should rejoice
in every day that's lived
i shall not miss you much

Looking forward to a warmer April...please...

Such beautiful tulips. We had a new skiff of snow this morning but I think it was just part of March's going away outfit.

The geese are a bit optimistic. LOL.

Happy Easter and happy Spring...when She gets here!

Wonder if one of the geese is saying "I told ya we should've stayed away longer"! Hope your April is much, much warmer!

I see the geese have found a bare spot to look for sustenance. Sorry it's still so wintery there, but i love your 'Ode'. It makes me smile. I'm not sorry to see March go either. It hasn't been bad here, but warmer, more colorful times are coming! :)

Dearest Catherine,
Let's hope indeed that April does at least melt down your snow. Sending you Happy Easter greetings with 24°C. We got our good weather late as well, only Good Friday turned out to be really GOOD!
Hugs,

I was looking at photos from exactly this time last year, and there's no doubt about it, Spring is way too late, March was way to cold and April better make up for it and I hope it does! :-)

Hopefully warmer weather is coming your way! Spring is so unpredictable isn't it!

I'm with you Catherine! I hope April brings much nicer weather than what we have been having. Saturday and Sunday were beautiful here, and today we're back to winter! Enough already!!

Wow, that is a lot of white, yucky stuff. We are so glad we don't live in the far north; though, we had way, way too much snow this winter and spring has not brought very warm temps yet. Stay warm until that nasty stuff melts. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

Well said. I'm on the verge of getting snow blindness from all this white stuff everywhere. I'm looking forward to going outside without having to bundle up quite so much.

But it looks like you can see the road now... that's progress, right? And blue sky too!

I love cold weather and if it snowed here in South Africa I'd love that.... Your pictures are gorgeous, so nice I'm making the last one my screen saver if that's OK with you.

I have friends in Canada - I used to live in Pennsylvania USA - so I know what it is to get tons of snow in March. Our spring in Northern Arizona began mid-March.
