Speaking of Doctors...

Well HELLO my dear friends!!

here I am
back in the land of the living...
almost...

I have been in bed for the last 3 days
fighting a cold/flu type bug
he snuck up on me last Thursday
(the lack of sleep did not help I fear)
but did not knock me to the ground until Sunday

oh he is a nasty little critter  :(

but to the doctor's this morning
medication for sinus infection
it will be back to work tomorrow

six pounds lost
copious amounts of tea drank
3 boxes of kleenex used
20+ hours of movies watched

and with too many hours of
daytime television watched
comes the confirmation that Dr. Oz
is a bit of a quack...
(alas I suspected as much)

now...
on to more productive things...

back to the couch
ipad in hand
tea and Banjo by my side
to spend the day
reading and catching up
with my lovely blog peeps...

xo Catherine

  2. Hope you get well soon! Is it bad if I thought it's not so terrible getting sick if I could lose 6 lbs? lol

I don't want to be that sick, even to lose a few extra pounds. LOL.

So, what's with Dr. Oz, never watched him before but saw him on Oprah a week or so again, new book out, thought it might be interesting... please do tell! Cheers~

  16. Oh dear...sorry to hear that you are under the weather. I hear that is a nasty flu going around. Glad I got my flu shot this year. The only nice thing about being sick, is watching all those movies and TV shows, snuggled up on the couch!

  17. Oh no! Not you too! I'm starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel today, thank goodness. My dog is going stir crazy and I'm getting bored to death - we don't have tv so it's books & magazines for this invalid, when I have enough energy to turn the pages. Love the pretty pink flower.

  22. Sorry to hear you have been sick but glad you are feeling better. The last time I was sick I discovered the horror of daytime tv. I think it helped me to recover faster. LOL!

  23. Oh, I'm SO sorry you've been sick! I hope you are well on the mend by now.

There's some stuff called "Airborne" that all the teachers around here take when they start feeling sickly; also Echinacea (sp?) can help give your immune system a boost when you need it most (to hopefully avert disaster).

I have to say, except for the cold part, an iPad, cup of tea, and a Banjo sound like a pretty good deal ;o) Horsey hugs to you girl!

  32. Sorry you haven't been well. :( I've been on antibiotics three times since Christmas. I'm just getting back on line and finally feeling close to "normal."

I watch Dr. Oz. Some of the stuff he says is helpful...but if one took all the supplements he suggested you wouldn't have time to do anything else. The best thing I have gotten from him is having a bit of peppermint extract each day. I have it in sugar free hot chocolate each evening and have not had acid reflux since I started doing it.
