Snow Snow and More Snow

When all you have is snow...

snow...

and more snow...

and you can't go anywhere
or do anything because the city you live in
NEVER seams to clear off residential streets...

life can get a bit boring.

Hope you are having a
more exciting weekend than me!

  6. It took till last week for our city to clean up the snow mess from Boxing Day and after. And now we've had a January thaw--pouring rain earlier this AM--so much of it has been washed away anyway.

Take heart; we're one day closer to Spring!

  9. Cat, that's a lot of snow, we have quite a bit of extra snow laying around here also, can I send you some?

At least they clear the streets here..but I hear you, it makes the thought of having to drive everywhere a real hassle. But on the good side, the snowbanks are easier to back into then other vehicles in the parking lots. LOL

  12. It does pile up! The grader cleared the road beside us yesterday, presumably because it's a school bus route. We're awaiting the arrival of our friend with his backhoe to dig us out of our own yard...

  13. We have some here but not nearly what is normal for this time of year. It is -10F this morning though. Hang in there!

  15. Looks like a day to snuggle with your boys! If you're streets aren't cleared, does that mean you get to play hooky from work tomorrow too?

  16. I'll trade you... its +12C here today and the only flakes are the two cats sunning in the window.

  18. YIKES!

Time for a hot toddy and a good book to escape into.

  19. It's so tiring isn't it? Thankfully in the city, they've been doing a pretty good job of clearing at least the main streets. At this rate I won't be surprised if there is flooding this spring.

    Stay warm, dry and safe!

  21. The snow looks so pretty to me, almost like a Xmas card, but I have never had to live with snow. Last week I had to stay home in 43c heat to look after my 2 cats. X

  22. Oh it looks so cold! It's cold here too. Only 20 degrees, but no snow.
    Hang in there!

  23. Dearest Catherine,
It looks beautiful but I hope you manage your daily life's routine with this much on the ground!

  24. I won't tell you that we had spring like temps all weekend--Again, Mother Nature can't seem to find that correct balance, because I'd love some of that beautiful snow, our yard is one big muddy mess!!

  25. Now that is what I call a lot of snow. So I will quit whining about how cold it is here. You know us desert Rats can't handle the cold.

    Hugs~

  26. I will take that snow!! At least you have an excuse not to go out and do anything. I'm just doing that....well...because I'm lazy and bored and too tired to go out and do anything. :)

I miss the white. I miss the shoveling. I miss the real winter!

  27. Wow Catherine, I'd swear you have the same road crews we have in MI! The snow is pretty though. We just went through a major thaw, and now that everything is covered in mud, it's time for snow! Hope you get plowed out soon!

  28. Wow - it looks wonderful to me, sat here with torrential rain beating against the windows... Being at home is never boring - we always have lots to do... Though we prefer to sit in front of the woodburner drinking cups of tea, snuggling with the kitties, reading & chatting... Bliss!

  29. Oh brrrrrrr, that gave me the shiver whiskers!

  30. Yep. That's a lot of snow! I can see how you'd get tired of the white and cold all of the time. Hope you found something to keep you busy this weekend and had some fun! Some yarn and a hook and I'd probably have an afghan done! Lol

  31. Woow that is a lot of snow! We had unusually warm weather in the weekend and I was out wearing only T-shirt on top. I wish I can send some warm wind to you!

  32. In Toronto We didn't have that much snow yet :(

Weather is been really wearied since last year not much snow ...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh my! I don't do cold well at all so for me it would be perfect crochet weather. :) Warm wishes, Tammy

  34. That is totally weird! The city doesn't plow residential streets - ever? or, do you mean, until it's all done? hmmm....

Actually, even harder to drive in, for me, is the mud! =P

    ReplyDelete
  35. Doesn't that make you crazy! If the city does get to your subdivision they make it barely passable, plus you have to dig out your drive again.

Our snow has almost all melted. We're having another mild winter. I wish it would snow, as what is left is the brown stuff. ICK!
