Another Week Ending

So let's see...

Bought a new handmixer Sunday
broke it Monday,
back to the store it went.

(I'm thinking this story does not inspire you to try my baking...)

Let's see if this one lasts longer!

My friend Corinne
(who looks after Banjo when we are away)
got herself a 'rescue' kitty from the SPCA - LOVE IT!
This little girl's name is Reggie.
She is about 1.5 years old and is a polydactyl kitty.
It looks like she is wearing mittens on her front paws.

It's my baby boy's birthday.
He's 22 years old today.
Happy Birthday Kurtis!

The weather has been an
unpredictable mixture of
this, that and the other thing.
I wish Mother Nature would make up her mind!

“What good is the warmth of summer,
without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.”

I don't know if I buy that...
but umm...

10 days until Christmas Eve?

Wishing you a most beautiful weekend!

Hi Catherine! It was nice to hear from you, and it's just as nice to be able to sit this evening and catch up on your blog--I don't know how I miss so many of your posts...I've got to stop being so busy and pay better attention! :-)

But what a cutie Reggie is! Our last cat was a 'mitten kitten' and thought it made him that much more unique! I also like your mixer, I've never seen beaters like that before.

I hope you're doing well, and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Thank you for your kind words of sympathy for our Joey.

Dearest Catherine,
Happy belated birthday to your son. Reggie is a lucky girl for being adopted by your friend Corinne. Earnest Hemingway cats, but it doesn't matter they are equally sweet and lovable.
Hugs to you,

Good luck with your baking!

What a beautiful story of the kitten adoption! Food for thought: A replacement Norelco electric razor costs more than the mixer---sad but true! : )

Where has this year gone! Hard to believe that we are coming down the home stretch for Christmas Day!! Love the paddles on the mixer! Now that kitty is simply adorable! You know it will be a "Biggy" when fully mature. I love those paws.
In case I run out of time to make the rounds today I wish you the Happiest Christmas ever and may you have many more treasured moments in the coming year! Fa la la..Joy to The World! hugs Anna

Happy Birthday, Kurtis!!

They don't make appliances to last very long now, do they? It's so frustrating. I go through irons like there is no tomorrow.

Reggie is a cutie-patootie! I wonder if she'll be able to help open jars and such with her opposable thumbs.
