Some of This, Some of That...

It's cold...

freezing fog
snow
and more snow...

oh but it does make for a
beautiful winter wonderland...

So I had to go buy a new mixer on Saturday.
I think this is at least the 6th handmixer I've had
in 22 years of marriage.
I remember my grandmother's handmixer that
I'm pretty sure she had from when she got married
until she went into the nursing home.
And I would suggest she did
a heck of a lot more baking than I ever have!

Snowflake candy decorations!
Cute!

Someone keeps knocking over the crystal
deer and trees under my Christmas tree...

Yea...
I'm looking at you mister...

Hope you had a terrific weekend!

The tree with the snow is wonderful.

I'm sure Banjo assumes that those are his to do with as he wishes. I mean, what would they be doing there otherwise? Hee.

As unfriendly as snow can be it sure does make for a pretty picture.
Banjo looks so sweet laying under that tree.
As for small (and large for that matter) appliances, they just don't make them like they used to.

Beautiful photos! Of course we love Banjo the best! He's so handsome and of course he's totally innocent since it's not even close to that tree. Just sayin! Congrats on your test score! Woo hoo!

oh those temptations, we will see how our Slippers fairs as we put the tree up this evening, the cookies look scrumptious!, and the pictures heavenly.

Banjo looks so innocent. Are you sure that Stanley is not the culprit!!!???????

I'm jealous of your snow --but I know you'd send it ALL to me if you could!!!!! ha

The cookies look yummy! And so does Banjo!!! What a sweet boy, he looks so cozy in the sunlight.

Are you sure those deer aren't just "falling" over on their own? I happen to know that ornaments and decorations just fall over from exhaustion this time of year. And the cats are just going over to check on them....

Oh dear, did I call Banjo a girl last time...whoops, sorry sweetie.

Love those snow photos, and that sure isn't a skiff is it?

Nothing is made like it used to be, my Mom still has a mixer from when she first got married, over 51 years....I have one from my early 30's so I must have lucked out. Stay away from Black and Decker, and any of the cheaper ones....lol.

Dearest Catherine,
Your treas are looking so majestic in the snow in your area!
But I guess that products nowadays are not build as well as at the time of your grandmother! They act like a time bomb was place inside them and all of a sudden they play dead.
Your Banjo is precious and that look on his face!
Hugs to all of you,
Mariette

Banjo probably wants to feel like he's in the garden instead of snow! Purrs! :)

Banjo baby you look so beautiful under the tree. Tell your Mummy you need a tad bit more space to get to that spot under your tree. :) Lot of hugs Anesha.

LOVE the photographs of the snow covered landscape...splendid indeed!
Pardon Mister Banjo, beneath a Christmas tree is a purrrrfect place to enjoy the sights, and create the "tinkly" sounds, of the holiday.
Happy week to you Catherine!
Warmly,
Judy xo

the Christmas Kitty made me get a big wide smile on my face... beautiful photos, beautiful Banjo and the bottom of your tree is gorgeous, even laying on its side...

Oh, how sweet. You got Banjo pretty glass toys to play with. He really seems to be enjoying them. My cat, Luna, seems to like the smell of our tree and will just go and sit underneath it. No one (thank God!) has messed with it or the decorations, in any way...yet. I guess they don't want coal for Christmas.

Those cookies look professionally made and so gorgeous with the snowflakes on top.

Banjo looks so darn cute under your tree...he will miss his special place when you take it down. Yea...it was cold here on the weekend too...better today tho. It always looks so pretty with the snow and frost...but hate the fact that it has to be cold as well!

To tell you the truth, I started liking low temperatures this year, it's 35°C today and all I want is some fresh (or cold air)... ;-)

Well, I am glad to see you are catching up to us on the snow front, LOL! Delicious looking cookies! And well, Banjo... I do declare he is the prettiest ornament around the tree! Cheers!

Your photos are so beautiful. Just look at all that snow. A winter wonderland indeed. And I am thinking Banjo was just trying to move those Crystal deer out of the way so he could nap under that gorgeous tree.

I just plain flat out don't think they make "stuff" as sturdy as they did back in the day... And we got our first ton of snow last night.
