Enjoying the Last Days of July

“What good is the warmth of summer,
without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.” ~ John Steinbeck

Please forgive my absence today.

I am in my garden this morning
and at Saskatchewan Landing Marina this afternoon
trying to hang on to the last few days of July.

Wishing you a beautiful Sunday.

I think their are lots of misconceptions about aspects of life for those of us living in cold weather states and provinces. Your quote from Steinbeck definitely covers one point well...:)

You told me sometimes it snows during summer where you live, and this week the average temperature during the day was 27°C in Sao Paulo...

Enjoy your summer, Catherine.... Knowing your area of the world, you will again be cold with snow before too long.... SO---get out there and enjoy that sunshine NOW.

Exactly where you should be on a beautiful summer's day. It's been 120 here the past couple of days so you can find me in my favorite spot crocheting/stitching the day away. Have a great new week. Tammy

Ooooh... these images of your late July garden are really beautiful! Especially the one of your moody green tomato! =]

and I'm all caught up with my reading. Sorry that I disappeared, again, for a moment, there! btw, I got the cutest little email back from Penny on the last post. We have a lot in common. I think that she needs to move to southern Vermont! ;) =]
