Gentlemen...start your engines...

Not wanting the neighbor to
outdo him on lawn care again this year,
Stanley, despite the cool evening air and threat of snow,
breaks out his lawn mower in order to begin
Yard Work 2012...

now if only it would warm up enough for golf
he would truly be one happy man...

Oh yes. My subdivision was buzzing this weekend with the sound of lawnmowers and weedeaters.

I hope it warms up enough for the grass to grow! The maple trees all went to seed here this week--what a mess! I may have to dig out the shovels again to get rid of them all. Yuck.

I think everyone in the neighborhood was out mowing last weekend. A couple of my neighbors have already mowed 3 times to our one. Oh well at least we got it done once...lol

Alas! Mowing season started here about a month ago!

no wonder he has those pecs, pushing a manual powered lawn mower is hard work and great exercise. i begged daddy to let me use his old one like this to cut the grass. i loved cutting with the lawn mower, i pushed it around the yard one time and went back to the fuel powered one.

Wow, no goosebumps on his bod anywhere. Makes me cold just looking at him. Funny post!

Unfortunately mowing season never stopped down here this year!

Hilarious picture! What a man! He can come mow my lawn any day.

We mowed once already and it is time for more!

You are too funny. What about him turning over a new leaf and going green... a pushmower might do the trick. It will help him work on his pecks at the same time he mows the lawn and think of the gas he'll save!
Have a good one.

Ha ha...oh you make me laugh! So you can actually see your grass now? Mine is still a bit white, some green peeking through, but there are fine white flakes floating in the air as I write this. I think it will be awhile before we break out the lawn mower!

I'm with Stanley...oh, and I wish was with Stanley...those pecs!! ...oh, but I digress...I mean on the golfing front...I want to get out there.
I'm almost afraid to try swinging the club though with this stupid elbow it just isn't better even after waiting all these months..and going to physio and icing and heating and needling and all of it....sigh.... oh, man...if I can't golf....I will be one miserable non golfer....it's the only sport I do and the only one I want to do.

Mowing has been going on around here for awhile now but I have yet to see any neighbors that look like that!

Unfortunately, my honey doesn't look like that when he mows... He has on his raggedy old jeans, t-shirt, and his straw hat....

BUT--we have already started mowing here... Gads!!!

FUNNY photo.... I'll bet that Stanley actually looks better than that though... ha

Hugs,
Betsy

Not a very serious mower is it? I hope Stanley doesn't have too many acres to mow. XO

Ha ha ha! Nice push mower & pecs Stanley! It's supposed to be in the 90's F this week! I'm still hoping I'm outta here before it hits the 100's! Ugh!

Haha!! Yes, let the competition begin! My guy has been out of the loop for 12 years maintaining a forest, but he's ready for lawn care!

Cheers!

well, we've had our lawn mowers out for about a month now but well, can't say anyone has done it quite like that with their pecs showing; not yet anyway!

Dearest Catherine,

One can tell where Wayne's 'head' is right now... Wishing you soon better weather for REAL. We had rain today, much needed and so much to do inside as well. Got way behind with having been cut off the Internet for 4 days. New modem and now catching up.
Love to you,

Mariette

heh, heh, heeeeeh.....! =D

So, did the snow melt right away for you? Are things a bit greener for it, hopefully? I've been thinking about you. Here, it hasn't rained in over three weeks! I think that poor deary Mother Nature is a wee bit befuddled, these days.
