road trip for work yesterday
no one but me
a bottle of water
a kashi granola bar
and my cd case
I had 3 hours of seeing nothing but this...
what goes on in the corner of cat's mind
when she has a
lonely
boring
nothing to take photos of
3 hour drive...
WOULD IT KILL SOMEONE TO
BUILD A TIM HORTON'S
OUT HERE SOMEWHERE??!!!
Hope you are having an exciting week...

It looks like somebody did...but I don't see any way to access it. Unless you PhotoShopped it in? LOL.
I'd guess that a lot of drivers would be in danger of nodding off to sleep, on that stretch.
Ugh. Glad you made it home again safe and sound!
And it didn't escape notice that there's no snow at all. Crazy winter.
I would LOVE to see just that! Can I come drive with you!
you are hilarious, i read every silly word on your bill board. and that is what i would have done, long roads with nothing make me crazy even if someone is with me. alone would be bad. a few times i have driven alone the 384 miles from here to Savannah, and i do just what you do, but mine is not as bad because it has houses and stores and things, not like this road. see you got a blog idea from your road trip so it worked.
lol, Im still laughing you sound alot like me hehe.Have a great day!
Loved this! I cracked up!
I don't know what a 'Tim Horton's' is, but I wish I had a barn, too! LoL! =)
You are so funny, I love this post! The pictures are beautiful but i can see why your mind would go lots of places other than the road. You crack me up!
Oh my gosh I hear you! I think I'm still recovering from our recent journey. I haven't driven since we got here a couple of weeks ago!
You always make me smile Catherine!
It happens to everybody, believe me. ;-)
now this post is really the true Catherine I know! ha! ha! everything was sarcastic and over dramatized in this post. just what i love to read! the Tim Hortons on the left of the highway at the end is too much!!!
Oh you are so funny! I love that last line about the building a Tim Horton's !!! That made me burst out laughing!
I think we all have the same random thoughts!
Seriously though...you had to drive three hours??OMG you brave girl!
Pamela xo
That is one long stretch of highway!
laughing!!!
Thanks for this morning's laugh ... at least it is beautiful countryside!
Haha! Great job on the Timmies, I had to expand it just to make sure they didn't REALLY put one there (though, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they did!) :D
Lovely post, Catherine, interesting thoughts :-)
It's a beautiful view there on the road !
Hugs,
Sylvia
You're so funny! I would be looking for Dunkin Donuts, for their coffee and donuts! I love road trips, but three hours alone wouldn't be fun. At least it was a sunny day. :)
YES!!! Tim Horton's is a PERFECT establishment for that type of road...build it and they will come!
...love TH...got my cup in front of me as we speak!
Beautiful....smile.....xxx....
I wouldn't like that ride at all!
LOL! That's funny Catherine! At least you figured out what to post about! Wonder if guy's think of the same things when on a 3 hour drive. Hmmm.
Ok, a 3 hour trip and not once did you think I need a rest stop? I would have needed a couple of them....lol
Loved this, cracked me up
Hi, Sorry I haven't been around this week. We have been traveling and taking more photos... Hope you are having a great week.
Well---wasn't a road trip better than sitting in the office all day????? I would enjoy just getting out--even in those conditions...
Hugs,
Betsy
Hahaha! I've no doubt that even scenery as pretty as these pictures would get boring after three hours. At least you had your own good company.
Now that is the most wide open space I have seen.. And I live in the desert with lost of wide open spaces. But at least there are a few hills with some cactus here and there. I think I would have put on some good old country music and sing along at the top of my lungs.. But that's just me!! Hee Hee....
Hope you have a great week my friend..
Hugs, Linda
Wow. There really is NOTHING out there! I'd be afraid of falling asleep with that view. If I was the passenger, it would be a given.
I'm always looking for blog posts too.
Haha your mind looks like mine! Always busy!...
This cracked me up. I've been there, driving that long stretch. I used to get excited to see a prairie dog. Back when we did the trip there was no Timmie's anywhere. How did I survive? Hugs, Deb
TIM HORTON'S??? Yes, on that!!! I LOVE Tim's. Oh the timbits. The whole wheat carrot muffins. The soup! THE large double-doubles. heaven, heaven, heaven.
And wow -- some awesome scenery. Lovely photography.
And so funny about the cat's mind.
Best post ever about kashi bar. And coffee longings. :)
A bit like the Australian outback. Not a tree or bush in sight for "a call of nature". XO
ha-ha! That's all the stuff that runs through my head when I am trying to go to sleep at night. :/ I hope wherever you were going, you had time to rest before heading back again. :) Best wishes, Tammy
Your head is a busy place. :) For your that open space is not nice but I think it looks wonderful. Have a great day. Hugs anesha
Bwahahahaha (the happenings in your head look a lot like mine *giggle*). Wow. That sure is an awful lot of...um...nothin'.
Glad you made it ;o)
I love the way you illustrated your thoughts as you drove this long, straight, flat highway!
Yep....driving through Saskatchewan and the prairies...been there, done that....for way more than 3 hours! We used to drive from Calgary to Winnipeg to visit hubby's relatives. I think I would rather have my I poked out with a pin than go on that road trip again! I agree, a Timmys in the middle of nowhere would be great!
That sounds just about how my mind would be tumbling ... but all that glorious space to drive in ... wonderful! :o)
LOL...3 hour drive...???wow!!!
Hello, Catherine.
The coldest winter will be melted by your warm heart.
The works gently accept all visitors.
I praise your creative art sense.
The prayer for all peace.
Have a good weekend.
From Japan, ruma ❃
I think I've been on that road one summer some years ago. We were on our way to Winnepeg to Vancouver and drove thru a plague of locusts. yuk... :)
LOL! You're always too funny and make me smile. Hope you have a good weekend.
I can't get enough of that emptiness and quiet! Which way did you go? It looks like a nice drive...to me!
I so hear ya!
wow what amazing images, brilliant!
It is a beautiful scenery and I love it. ...But 3 hours of this may mess up the corner of cat's mind...haha. I hope something fun and exciting is waiting for you!
With those wide open skies, I think this is a beautiful ride. Music should of made that drive all the better. I like the last photo, nice color and detail.
Oh my gosh! Love your shots of the road, but what a boring drive huh? Cute post though, you crack me up!
Books on tape! yup! ;)
What a fantastic road!
We would much rather drive on a road like that, instead of an awful UK motorway...
Kay :)
