It's Baaaack!!!!

I knew my green grass and +10c (+50F) weather
couldn't last forever.
After all, it's January,
and I live in Saskatchewan.

It started snowing this afternoon.
It's still snowing.
Predictions of snow for the next 4 - 5 days.
Temperatures dipping to -26c (-15F).

But no matter.
I can take it.
We are looking at 3 - 4 months of winter tops.
5 at the most.
Certainly not more than 6.

Any way you look at it,
it still beats the 10 months of winter
we had last year!

And for the record...
I still have not caught up on my sleep.
More rest please...

Wishing you a warm and snoozy weekend!

Well, welcome to our world. It's freezing here and we have tons of snow. I think that is the sweetest picture of Banjo I have seen yet. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x4

10 months of winter? I seriously would have gone crazy. Probably would have curled up under a bunch of blankets and refused to come out under no circumstances! That's brutal.

Banjo doesn't mind the snow. I hope you can snooze all you want this weekend. Stay warm and cozy. The Winter has been crazy here too, but no snow to speak of, just a flurry.

Winter is back here too!! Not as much as you, but yours...well, that's just crazy.

My blogger problems are no more! I switched to google chrome.
It is so green here and mild. Yet today it dipped to -1 and everyone just goes crazy. A lady just today said to me oh wait till it gets to minus 5!!! OMG i just rolled my eyes! Minus 5 and the mailman still wore his shorts back home. There was snow warnings here yesterday and the store i work at was nuts! Everyone was in a huge panic!
Maybe I should blog about the softies on Vancouver Island!
Glad you had a great trip...lucky girl!!!

There's been a change here, too, but still not much snow ... just much colder.

Banjo looks so cozy.

Oh my gosh that sounds cold! Just snuggle up in a blanket and snooze!

We have the same weather next door, my feet will finally warm up in about three months. Snuggle up to Banjo, he'll keep you warm.

Hi Catherine! I got a taste of some snow today in Washington! It's pretty chilly here, but not as cold as you are. It's in the 30'sF here tonight. Looks like you need to take some napping tips from Banjo! Hey Banjo, isn't a nap so much better when you have nice squishy pillow to rest your head on?

It's much cooler here too and I'm loving it! Hope you get that rest you need. :)

looks to me like you should be doing what the cat is doing in your last post and today's post. I really really like that first photo of the snowflake. WOW... is it metal or paper? really beautiful. we are freezing this morning at 38 which is COLD for Florida

I like your snowflakes. We're getting the same kind of weather. It's been snowing since Friday here. Love the picture of Banjo. I think you should spend the day doing just what he is.

Banjo looks so adoable, big hug to him. It has turned much colder here, lots of frozen water. Enjoy your snow, I love snow (mainly as I don't have to drive in it). Have a great weekend. Hugs aNesha

I guess that's more like your norm -- the spring plants and flowers will be happy -- just keep saying that!

Love the snowflake and cherries photos -- do you know how to set up a photo op or what? :)

Hah, with all that snow that is EXACTLY what I would be doing...catching a cat nap...no doubt. Stay warm and enjoy the white stuff!

It's not fair - I want some snow!

We've just got cold, blustery wind... Our windows & doors are rattling again - the joys of living on the coast! At least it's nearly time to get the fire in!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Kay :)

Holy cow... that is cold! Banjo, go huddle up!! And that seriously is a long winter you have.
Catherine, sorry for my recent absence... you know why, and thank you so much for your sweet words. The scare is not quite over yet, but I'll be back more often when things return so some kind of normal again.
Big hug
from Joan

Yes, I can imagine that you'll not escape winter.. and if you did the prairie farms and ranches would be in trouble come spring...

Brrrrr! We just got our winter this week, so I think we can deal with it--it's been so easy so far! The snow is pretty, the air crisp and cold---and nobody is complaining surprisingly. We'll see how long that lasts!

Connie said...

I know we shouldn't complain (we have been very lucky so far this winter) but it's sooo hard not to! I was quite happy with no snow and great temps! But oh well, hopefully spring isn't too far around the corner!
PS: Banjo has the right idea - let's curl up on the couch and hibernate until Spring. :)
