Back to Normal

It was over in the blink of an eye...

Cinnamon Buns in front of the 'fireplace'

Everybody got their Christmas socks!

Banjo loves his new bed
{don't tell him that it's a dog bed...}

I was spoiled by my boys once again

I took my tree down Boxing Day
as I always do
{up early ~ down early}
all the decorations are put away

LIFE is back to NORMAL here!

Such a shame that a handsome tree like that's gotta go (it was VERY pretty!). Now I have to say that you're a little bit cruel - I LOOOOVE cinnamon buns (could you spare me one :-)) Ok, so they're all gone, hope you enjoyed, lol! And the way your Christmas socks really rocks :) (could use a warm pair too). Looks like you had a terrific Christmas and Banjo's new bed looks fit for a king!
Big hug from Greece ;-)

It sounds like you had a lovely day. We like your 'fireplace'! :) Our tree came down today too, and now our lounge room looks a bit naked.

I feel the same way about 'cleaning up' but will have to wait until all the cat-sitting is over. Looks like Santa left us the same bracelet. I love mine, too. It will be fun filling it up. Happy Christmas week and enjoy the naps. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x4 Tell Banjo his bed rocks.

well that dog bed fits like it was custom designed for your kitty, so i will not tell. lots of goody's and like those socks. your fireplace looks just like ours.

I always need socks, Mom always asks what I want and every year it's the same: socks and long johns/janes. :-)

I'm glad you all had a lovely Christmas, Banjo included of course. Didn't realize you took your tree down on Boxing Day, though. I thought about it yesterday, but left it up. Took the rest of the decorations down and packed them away, and was glad to be done with them. The tree will come down before New Year's Eve, and the outside decorations will come down on the 31st, weather permitting.

Have a wonderful week, Catherine, and a very happy new year!

My "tree" is about 2 feet tall and pre-decorated and lighted. It takes about 5 minutes to unplug and put away. :)

Your boys were very sweet to you! And Banjo looks very cozy. I won't tell :) Our tree will stay up until after New Year's Eve. Late going up, late coming down.

I, ironically, am allergic to Christmas Tree - stale ones, that is; so, I put it up more towards Christmas and can enjoy it for the week after when everything is so calm and so....oddly clean around here. and, Cat, even though it got fast and furious at the end, there, I thought of you every step of the way, this year! ;) =D

Peace and joy and fresh starts to you, my friend. Although, winter is long, there's so much to look forward to!

Well it looks like you had a lovely day. Banjo's new CAT bed is so comfy looking.
I usually don't take my tree down until New Years but it always takes me a few days to get it all packed up and put away. I dread that part

Sounds like you had a wonderful time, Catherine, beautiful gifts and Banjo looks happy with his new bed :-)
Our Christmas decorations will stay for a while ...

Oh how nice, everyone got Christmas socks :-) Banjo got a doggy bed! Haha, I don't think it's a problem as long as he loves it!

Lin said...

If it was a cat bed, he wouldn't go in it. That's how cats work. ;)

Wow! You got nice presents!! I'm glad you had such a nice holiday with your boys. :)

SweetMarie said...

Glad you had a nice holiday! Banjo looks very content. :)
Our tree will be up until New Years.

I don't have a tree but thought about putting away my Christmas 'shrine' of cards today but felt a tad guilty. Will not worry about that any more thanks to you!

Dearest Catherine,

That look on Banjo's face; precious! He doesn't care about dog/cat bed; his is heaven!
You made cute photos from some practical gifts. Have a Happy New Year coming your way and stay warm.
Love to you,

Catherine you're so right in a snap of a finger all the magic of Christmas disappears..however may we all keep the gift of sharing and giving and loving oneanother all year!
Love the pandora bracelet! Many of the bracelets that I sell in my jewellery line would pair up nicely.
Check it out here..

Sending you warm wishes of Holiday Cheer and a joyfull New Year!

Around here, it's been same ol same ol -- except for the fact that we are on winter break which is fantastic. Weather has been great. And my girlfriend is visiting from Lebanon so have been out with her every day enjoying our time at a leisurely pace. :) My kids don't think socks are presents -- but they both got some. Banjo sure looks comfy. I tried to find a pet bed for my outside kitty but there were none to be found. So she is sleeping in a plastic basket with a rug and a towel for comfyness. Have a great rest of the week/month. Blessings for the new year. Tammy
