great post. Life is certainly a mix of ups and downs. It's great you took the moment to recognize them. The Justin Bieber comment made me laugh.

We had our first snowstorm a couple of weeks ago. Not sure I was quite ready for it, but it sure did feel wonderfully Christmasy!

Love this post Catherine! I'd love to come home to see Banjo waiting for me! I'm not near as ready for Christmas as you are though.

Dearest Catherine,

Wow you got a snow storm on our wedding anniversary day... Can't believe this. Well, we have been working our tail off too for putting all pot plants in the greenhouse. Friday night is supposed to freeze for the first time. What a job for hauling everything inside. On our wedding anniversary day we had still gardenias blooming! Unreal all for November.
Love to you and Banjo knows where it is good, behind the glass looking at his human parent...

Aaackk! The snow and the life-sized Justin B. are the two worst things. LOL.

Rona has 15% off anything (I think anything) on Saturday, and I'm going to look at holiday decorations. Maybe a second (small) tree for the house. Maybe. :-)

I actually have Christmas music playing at work right now. Probably a good thing that I'm here by myself.

Have a lovely weekend, Catherine.

Great post Catherine! Banjo chewing on the helpless little guy on the ornament was priceless! I rotated between frown and upside down frown, and had to tell myself he isn't real! No snow here, please no snow here!

Thanks for the upside down frowns today, and I hope you have a warm and brrrrrrrr-free weekend!

I have an upside down frown on my face right now caused by all your litlle drawings and words. a cute idea and made me smile. especially the oops which I have done several times with my camera lens. no snow here but it was 48 at wake up which is freezing to us Floridians. BTW our new neighbors put up ALL and i do mean ALL their Christmas lights including outlining the roof, 2 weeks before Halloween. they two 3 days to put it all up, lit them up for 2 nights and not since. a little strange to me

frown upside down moment - bringing the tree home. Hubby scouts all the bushes all year taking different routes home from work finding the perfect tree, he even climbed the top of a tree, cut the top down and dragged it home, while he had a herniated disk in his spine, he is determined to have a real tree every year, we will have two this year, now that the basement is finished!!

Love this, especially the picture of Banjo chomping on the birdie ornament. Not that it's a good thing for him to be doing but it makes for a cute picture.

Eww, I am so not ready for snow. What a fun post, you gave me many chuckles. The best one being the Justin Bieber cut out. I love your kitty in the window.

Catherine, you have a delicious, infectious and thoughtful kind of humour. I LOVE it. Now does that melt your heart to have a kitty in the window like that or what?!! What a darling boy. From a personal perspective I miss snow but I can appreciate a warmer climate knowing we've got thousands of homeless kitties sleeping in the bushes at night. Hope you'll stay safe in the snow and enjoy indoor pleasures.
Hugs and wishing you a great week ahead!

Don't you just love a little kitty face in the window welcoming you home??? I do. Except when I know they are sitting in the middle of the kitchen table while they do it. :)

Jaime said...

hehe... you make me laugh. Every time I come here. Every time. Your sense of humour is so very sweet and charming. I've missed you! xo

You are so funny, and I loved this post!!!

I would be in the Christmas spirit too if we had snow like that! I'm a little late, but I just got to experience beautiful autumn color in Seattle.

Katy Noelle said...

I think that you should sell bottles of humour for those of us who feel it but can't quite spit it out. "frown-upside-down in a bottle"! It'd be so helpful. This is just coming from one sleepy gal who appreciates it in others....
