Don't hate me for this but...

in only 5 more weeks
I will be putting up my Christmas tree!

Woot woot!

I know a lot of you have seen these photos before
but I thought you wouldn't be as mad at me
for talking about Christmas
if I showed you Banjo when he was little,
destroying my Christmas tree.

Now he's a big kitty and leaves my tree alone...
for the most part...

Have a terrific weekend!

Dear Banjo,
I didn't start batting decorations off the tree until I was 4. That was when the inspiration struck. Perhaps you'll have some surprises in store this year... ;)

Aacckk, in only 5 weeks? That's even before Advent, isn't it?

Our human's debating whether to do any decorating at all this year--she says it's WAY too early to decide, though.

Purrsonally, we do hope she puts up her tree, it's always great fun for us! Heh heh.

I love the second pic! So cute!!!

My cats did the same thing when they were little. Banjo looks orange in these pics - did you change his fur color?:)

Linda @ A La Carte said...

Cute pics! Charlie would get in the tree when he was little, now he loves to lay under it! I can't believe in only 5 weeks we get to start Christmas decorations...yipee!

Wouldn't it be great if we humans could occasionally enjoy a moment of wild abandonment like Banjo did? Just once in a while? Or even once in a lifetime? Just see it and go for it? What fun!

Yea, that just seems weird to me right now. It's still in the 90'sF here! Love the shots of Banjo in your tree. He still looks big as a kitty. Isn't it funny how they love the tree? My two cats just like to lie under my tree...good thing because they're about 15lbs each!

TexWisGirl said...

hey, you can go ahead and put it up now! as long as i don't have to live in your house, that's fine! :)

BumbleVee said...

Yeh...I'm with you.... let's totally bypass Hallowe'en....and go straight to reds and green.....I hate orange.

And...luckily...we Canuck gals are long finished with Thanksgiving early....I'm sure those U.S. girls should mutiny and do it earlier so they can just relax and enjoy Christmas and the whole festive season so much more.....

I'm putting mine up earlier this year too....do we have to wait 5 weeks? ...I love glitz and festive fun...lets do it....uhm, ....tomorrow? ....is that a bit too early.?? oh, alright ...I'll wait impatiently...right along with you then.........sigh........................

You diffused it with photos of Banjo! I read that first line and though, UGH, 5 weeks? I'm not ready! But then saw Banjo's photo and I feel way better! I'm still not ready for Christmas but I'm always ready to see Banjo!

I don't mind be reminded of Christmas, though I would like to celebrate fall awhile longer!

Oh my! I'm not even thinking that far ahead. Jingles is 7 years and she still manages to swat down ball ornaments so she can bat them around the living room. :/ Have a great weekend. Tammy

It's always fun putting up the tree when you have cats in the house. My cats have gotten better as they have aged...maybe this year they will ignore it...yah right:)

GreatGranny said...

I just have 2 tiny trees and Kassey couldn't care less. She won't even know the balls or bells.

Ann said...

How could anyone be mad about seeing Banjo baby pictures. My tree won't go up until after Thanksgiving. At the very earliest it would be Thanksgiving day after the turkey has been eaten.

Sharon K. Mayhew said...

Wow...only five weeks until tree time. I can hardly wait. :)

We'll not hate you for putting us Christmas tree early :-) Actually I'm looking forward to seeing your beautiful decoration!
Photos of Banjo climbing the tree are so adorable. My kitties destroyed the tree, too ;-)

Love your photos and your parting words... 'for the most part!' Lol!

I just love Banjo's markings on his coat. You go girl, and put up that tree whenever you want.

Can't wait to see photos of your tree!! I know that over here in China, I won't be able to put up a tree. Maybe I should try and draw a picture of a tree then tape it up? Haha. Just kidding. :)

Miss you!
XOXO

HOW CUTE!!! My big cat still doesn't leave the Christmas tree alone, he loves to chew it and sit amongst the prezzies hehe. It'll be my little kitty's first Christmas with us, how exciting :o)
