Can you see the beauty in it?

Sometimes you have to be
looking at the right things
the right way
to see the beauty
while taking a drive on the
back roads of Saskatchewan...

Happy Thursday!

Love the colors in that sky shot... I love deep dark rich colors!
The cows, deer, doggy and ducks, too cool... but I love the old abandoned house shots... is that a barn in the next shot of the dramatic sky? Awesome!

You're so right Catherine! You really have a way of looking at something and showing its beauty, and adding such style and creativity to it when you take its picture.

Lovely photos, as always. I'm especially intrigued by the old house. I've always felt a bit sad for abandoned homes, wished they could speak our language--or me speak theirs--to hear their stories of the humans who once lived there.

OMG Catherine these photos are truly amazing!!!!!! Wow that photo with the dog and the one before it with the homes??? These could be sold at an art fair !
I found driving through Saskatchewan in the dead of winter so calming and beautiful. Everyone said to us how boring we would find driving through the prairies. They don't know what they are talking about . I was captivated by your province. These photos speak for themself!

~Beautiful~ I especially love the image of the border collie on top of the hay rolls. It reminded me how much I still miss my ol boy, Jazz. I had him for 16 years. He died 3 years ago and I still can't past the loss and on to the point of getting another dog.

the first time I drove through Sask, was three summers ago when we went to Panarama ski resort in Alta, I really don't know why people make fun of flat Sask, it has so many beautiful rolling hills, I am from MB, now THAT is a flat province ( but with many incredible lakes and beaches) had to add that :)

Gosh Catherine, these pictures are amazing. I love the old house, the scenery, deer, and the border collie looks like my Bobby. You have quite the knack of taking awesome pictures!

Canadians often criticize Saskatchewan for being desolate and bland. I don't know why! The endless expanse of wheat is simple in its composition, yet breathtaking!

Some day I would like to come to your neck of the woods...uhh, I mean your neck of the prairies, just so I can photograph the vast and interesting skies. There is such beauty in all that open space. You've captured it so well, my friend. xo
