Indeed. They are much closer to a mountain lion than a dog would ever be to a wolf. This napping thing all day was my lesson for retirement. :)
can i join you enjoy the sun ? looks like HEAVEN! ;)
Such sweet photos. Have a great day. Hugs ANesha
OMC !!!! Big Cat is so bootiful !!!
oh she looks so relaxed
What a beautiful feline! He/she is enjoying a nap in the sun just like any domestic cat would!
Gorgeous, aren't they. I hope it is happy in it's environment.
Oo a big "jungle kitty!" that's what I call my boy Fetzer. LolHope your week is going well, and goes by quickly!
I love love big cats and this one is absolutely beautiful, so happy laying in the grass and sun. I am glad to see this in a zoo, as it bothers me when they are in captivity. this looks like a great place to be
Adorable images my sweet friend...hugs to you. xoxox
Yes, that's about it, all right! :-)I hope the enclosures are large ones. I always do feel so sorry for innately wild animals stuck in zoos. It's two-sided, of course--many species soon won't exist outside of zoos and they're great for educating the public. But I wonder how we'd feel, not able to choose our own destinies. (Well, perhaps we humans don't and only like to think we do.)
They are beautiful creatures.
That's funny =) What beautiful animals!
Hahaha, fun series!Have a nice day Catherine! ;-)
Totally agree .. no matter the size, their behaviors are the same. Great photos!
Very true, I've watched the big cats and they act very similar to small house cats!. Richard
Except these ones eat our domestic cats lol! Beautiful photos Catherine! They are gorgeous beasts even if I am scared to death of running into one!!Pamela xo

I LOVE Mountain Lions!! I remember one year for Christmas my dad bought me a life size stuffed mountain lion toy. I even carried it with me to college. Eventually after I got married and had to move several times it was time to get rid of it. I gave it to another cat lover! :)
Great pictures !!!....love from me...xxx...
Makes me just want to reach in and pet it!! Great shots of the little kitty :)
Sunning and taking a nap.. Ignoring humans.. Sounds perfect to me.. Happy Wednesday my friend.. Hugs, Linda
Oh, life looks so hard for these beauties!!
Yep, no difference whatsoever! Even Heather's desire to cuddle big cats is the same! (She'd better be careful....!)
Love the shots. He looks so sweet. I know that he would rip your arm off without batting an eye but he looks so sweet.
Big or small, wild or domesticated all cats love a sleep in the sun. XX
You got that right! Beautiful captures, Catherine. She's (?) a big one. :)
Whew! For a minute there, I was thinking that may be in your yard!! EEEK!
That is one beautiful kitty! Very nice pics!
I love watching the big cats! They are so beautiful and are very much like our not so big cats at home!
wow, at first I thought that was your back yard, I saw a Linx once walk in the neighbors yard, either that or she was one big kitty
Dearest Caolyn,Lovely photos and indeed, a cat is a cat. We can learn a lot from them for keeping our stress levels down!Finaly I caught up with all the writing and administration so I can visit some bloggers again. One always pays dearly for being away for 16 days!'Love to you,Mariette
Cool zoo...looked like somebody's back yard there for a minute ;o)
We watch a lot of these amazing creatures on the animal planet. Whew!sandie
We get some of those big kitties around here on occasion. They have lots of deer to chase in my neck of the woods, so they usually don't bother the humans in the neighborhood.
What an amazing animal, Catherine, great photos !Hugs,Sylvia
For some reason your post reminds me of the quote, "God made the cat in order that humankind might have the pleasure of caressing the tiger." Have you ever thought of that when you pet your precious Banjo?
These are wonderful images Cat!I just love the second one.
Wonderful photos! amazing animal
wooooooow! Beautiful. KEEP A NICE DAY!
So true. It's amazing how much they are the same as a house cat.... same mannerisms, same everything... except size. I'm so scared I'm going to run into a cougar on the mountain I climb in the mornings. We have sightings around my neighbourhood more often than makes me comfortable. But, they are so beautiful, aren't they?
