Home and Happy

I'm home!

A couple of days spent in Calgary, Alberta

doing some shopping
(love Cross Iron Mills Mall)

going to the zoo
(even the Royals visit the Calgary Zoo)

visiting a bird sanctuary
(Inglewood Bird Sanctuary in the heart of the city)

trying new restaurants
(Original Joe's is now our favourite restaurant)

Oh yes,
a trip to the big city
always helps to put
(unless you live in a big city...
perhaps it is then a trip to the country that you need!)

This was the home that the
Inglewood Bird Sanctuary
was built around.

It's hard to believe that a city is built around
this beautiful spot of land.

Lovely paths...

Fun bridges and walks built over the water...

For the record,
except for a few ducks
one robin
and a few sparrows
we didn't see many birds...

Perhaps they were on holidays...
like us!

One week of holidays left
and so much more to do.
I best get to it.

Happy Weekend to You!
xo Catherine

Dearest Catherine,

It's quite a while now since we did work as consultants in the Calgary area. We did visit the Calgary mall and the botanical garden...
Love from Germany,

I never once went to the bird sanctuary while I lived in Calgary! I had no idea it was so interesting.

Well.....you were real close to my neck of the woods! We go to Calgary all the time, hubby works there, and we used to live there until we moved 30 miles west to Bragg Creek. Glad you had a nice visit, and had fun shopping!
