Good-bye September

Good-bye September!

You were...

the last of the butterflies

mostly sunny days

blowing bubbles at Sask. Landing

the drying of tomatoes

nectar drunk dragonflies

morning tea bird watching

making of refrigerator pickles

five finch feasting

morning frost turning to dew

garden trinkets tucked away in the shed

homemade pickled beans

leaves on trees changing colors

crazy pink birds at the Calgary Zoo

terrific finds at the thrift store

bright moons creating early evenings

You've always been my favourite month.
Take care until I see you next year.

xo Catherine

Aw, looks beautiful! October is my favorite month, but it's probably because that's when it really starts to cool off here...it's our fall weather. Are those "fridge pickles" easy to make?

This is a wonderful way to say goodbye to September. I'm not sure if I have a favorite month. I've always loved December.
I LOVE your dew pic and your thrift store finds.
Happy Weekend!

Funny, I always appreciate October more, because in the past Sept has been so cold, but this year Sept has outdone itself, I wonder if Oct will be as sweet.

What a beautiful post Catherine, I hate to see September leave also. It just seemed to fly by this year.

Very pretty pics. Our clocks go forward one hour tonight for summertime though we didn't even have much winter this year. XX

September sure was beautiful in your neck of the woods. I've never heard of bean pickles but I love pickles and green beans so they have to be good. Jingles was out on the balcony this evening and then came in and was jumping about-- she had caught a dragonfly. I haven't seen them during the day yet she managed to find one at night. :/ Hope your day is good. Tammy

Great finds in lovely photos. Those pickled green beans and tomatoes sure look delish. My hubby dried a lot of fruit and meat which we took on our trip out West years ago.
With October here, the rest of the year will fly, I figure.

Loved all you photos . The sun on the jars on the sill is my fav I think but I do love them all.
Im almost ready to settle in for winter. :) Its cool here today with the rain we had over night and I think your in the area of the heat wave now.

So... do birds actually come and eat the seed off the table when they are being stared down by that giant cat head on the chair!?! lol!

I can't believe how fast this time of year is speeding by. Sept to Dec is my favourite time...and it is moving WAY too quickly. Much too quickly.
