Get Off The Crack Cat

Purses and Journals
they are my crack
my adrenaline rush
my catnip

Stanley and I went to Regina yesterday
I had no intention in buying anything

but this beautiful purse and
enjoyable journal
well...
they just 'spoke' to me...

truly I was just minding my own business
and all of a sudden
they were both calling my name...

The purse comes with it's own bag!
How can you resist a bag
that comes with it's own bag???

And...it's Canadian
and it's lining is made from 21 plastic water bottles
and it's vegan!

Now you know I have a lot of journals
a LOT of journals...
(err...I have a lot of purses too but right now we're talking about journals...)
but this one has an owl on it
and the inside pages are lined with
little owls, squirrels and porcupines on every page...

and it's printed on 100% recycled paper
with soy-based ink

very environmentally friendly...

Helping the economy,
the environment
and being animal friendly
all at the same time?

Well...
you know I like to do what I can.

And you?
Is there something that you just can't resist when you see it?

Well you're just a girl wanting to help the environment aren't you!? :-))) Good girl, lol!
Me too, purses and journals and a girl needs a purse to go with fall and fall colors, right! :-) I for sure could not have gone past that journal - it's just too cute to pass by.

i have nothing that calls me to buy it, i constantly research and stare at cameras and they would be my downfall IF i could spend the money. your purse and journal are both beautiful and double good since they are recycled. i buy only what i need UNLESS it is a camera. it helps that we are both retired and no money to spend. my thing that called me until i got old was shoes, i could not pass up a pair of sandals and when younger heels. i had forgotten that passion, but i have not bought a pair of shoes in about 5 years now.

I love that bag and journal! I am addicted to bags and journals too and have more than I could ever use/need but wanting more is a whole different thing! I would love to go shopping with you!

Dearest Catherine,

Well, we must be kindred spirits as I do have bags and purses and LOTS of journals too. Since 2004 I don't write my daily journal in leather bound anymore + garden journals etc. etc. But sharing on the same day a post that involves 'owls'is incredible.
I'm not yet 100% as we got home by 2:00 AM from our 16-day trip to Europe... But finally I manage to read blogs and comment.
Love to you,

Mariette

Craft supplies. Don't let me loose unsupervised in a craft store or I WILL come out with something I don't need :)

Oh, I know Matt and Nat. We used to sell them at a gift store I used to work at. I always found their handles to be odd sizes though--either too deep or too short. I hope they have mastered that.

That is a lovely journal!

Awesome finds Catherine! With me it's fabric and lace. I can't resist the feeling of material, don't know what it is about it!

Pretty bag and love the journal! I have a weakness for good chocolate and hazelnuts, yummy!
Another weakness of mine is cute t-shirts with hearts or the word love on it. And last but not least, anything unique with dogs or squirrels! I have a Christmas ornament, from when my son was a baby, that is an acorn with a mommy and daddy squirrel with their baby in the crib and the acorn lights up. Really cute and unique!

A bag with a bag? Well that's a two-for-one deal in my book, and who can resist one of those?

The journal is adorable...is it a coincidence that it matches the purse so well? They belong together. Definitely.
*giggle*

Just doing your part for the environment, I totally understand. How could you not?

My weakness is vintage Japan cat or dog figurines at the thrift store. At $2.00 or $3.00, I can't say no.

I can't resist glass ware at a thrift shop, the ornate or retro kind, especially blue, blue bowls the kind your Mom had in her living room in the 60's. My son would love your purchase, the fact that it is environmentally friendly that is...

Such a cool purse, Catherine! I'm a bit of a journal junky too. My daughter (Katherine) and I get lost in the paper aisle at TJ Maxx... I always seem to tidy the shelves so I can see every single journal.
