"And another thing..."

How did this Prairie Dog
get so chubby living in the zoo?

Look at him...
he's just munching on the leaves.

There can't be too many calories
in dried leaves can there?

well now...
a Sunday Treat would have a few calories.

Don't do it sweet little Prairie Dog!
Don't eat that Sunday full of
sugar and chemicals!

You really need to learn
to read the ingredients
before you simply start chowing down
on whatever stupid humans
throw into your front yard!

Prairie Dog at the Calgary Zoo

Today I am frustrated with:
  • Stupid people that throw garbage all over the place
  • The stupid woman that let her shopping cart go yesterday afternoon in the Coop parking lot which put a dent in my dent-free car even though I parked a mile away from the front door and she looked right at me when she did it

I'm better now.

I Wish For You
Peace and Light
And Much Happiness
For Today

Send it out, it will come back ~ right?

I love watching the prairie dogs at the zoo, my fav.animal, so comical, by the way I hate stupid people too.

Oh dear...such a chubby chap! He(?) looks rather like a young woodchuck who took up residence under our deck...lounged in our garden chairs...and devoured our herb garden. The joys of wildlife!

Wishing you a lovely, stress-free weekend!

Poor little one!
It's sad to think he can have so many health problems...
I hate stupid and selfish people too.
Hope you have a very nice weekend Catherine!

Sir Chuck is a lesson to us FOOD, not garbage!
And the shopping cart lady? Instant karma's gonna get her...

I very much enjoyed my visit with the prairie dog even if he was eating out of trash. i do not understand why people throw trash on the ground and OUT THE car window ONTO our driveway, beer bottles that break, beer cans, soda cans, bags, all kinds of things. i like the quotes, maybe i should have them tattooed on me somewhere...or maybe not.

I guess junk food addiction is prevalent in the wild as well. Sigh. If only people would think twice before throwing their garbage on the ground.

He's going to keep plenty warm this winter. Sending some happiness back your way!

People should think about the junk food that birds and other precious creatures eat. Why not take it home and put it your own garbage can. This little fatty is so cute and your narration is so good.
I hate it when inconsiderate people do this and when they're too lazy to put a cart in the bin, just leaving it setting.
A blogger friend was hurt badly by chasing a run away cart.

He's a cute prairie dog - but I agree - the dirtiest animal in the world can sometimes be a person!

And so sorry about the dent - errrr!

I just wanna know why "chubby" looks cute on this prairie dog and not me?
Sorry about your car...what a pain.

Don't ever come to Kuwait. Just about everyone throws their garbage wherever they are, as they are walking, out their car windows. It really is pathetic and is one of my biggest pet peeves. A country with money but filled with folks with no common sense.

And the zoo is absolutely pathetic. I used to have to go for field trips with my kindergarten class when I was teaching, but I would never pay to go their on my own and will never go there again. The animals are all so very sad looking. The monkeys were eating peeling green paint off of poles in their cage. They didn't even have anything remotely resembling a natural habitat. It was all steel. Ugh!

Poor little prairie dog. He is a bit on the heavy side. Why do people think it is funny to throw their crappity crap at animals? No one thinks about the environment or the wildlife they are affecting.

I don't understand why folks can't take their cart back from where they got it from. I mean, come on -- everyone has a few extra seconds for that one task? A lot of laziness in the world.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Tammy

That'll be a prairie dog with diabetes or heart disease. Sheesh.

As for the inconsiderate, rude, rotten woman....Want us to come and scratch her face up?

We have a groundhog that visits our back yard and he is about that big...LOL At first I thought he was a squirrel on steroids. He is very handy as he eats all the apples that have fallen from our tree. He does an excellant job of tidying them all up:)

Oh Oh Catherine, your post give me (sorry) a big smile.

This prairie dog is really round!! Looks like he likes sweets a lot...but I'm with you, he should read the ingredients first. And people should throw trash in a trash can! I am sorry your car got a dent..I hope you can have a relaxed weekend.

So sorry about the dent Catherine--I know how frustrating that can be! I also agree with you on that little chubby prairie dog, those snacks really do add up after awhile!!

BeadedTail said...

That prairie dog couldn't fit under your shed! It's awful they eat those human foods because someone didn't throw it away. Sorry about the dent in your car. The thought of that gave me a belly ache because I hate dents so always park a mile away too to avoid them. Stupid people will always find them though. Some places do the paintless dent repair that just pop those dents out.

Ann said...

What a cute prairie dog.
You would think that with all the talk about being green and saving our planet people would be less likely to toss garbage on the ground. You would think but you would be wrong. It's unbelievable.
Shame on that lady with the cart.

This little guy is adorable Cat, and your photographs of him are great!

So sorry to hear about your car. I have no tolerance for people littering. There's no excuse for it.

That poor animal, hope that he goes on a diet. Sorry about the incident with your car. There are so many ignorant people in this world and the all seem to come out when you go shopping. Hope you have a better week. Thanks for your sweet comment. Hugs Anesha :0

Dear thing... I think he should get handed a pamphlet to read all about ignorant humans!
You wouldn't believe how much garbage people throw here (in a place of such spectacular nature beauty) - time and time again I see people roll down their car window and chuck something out and I'm like "do people really behave like that????" It just AMAZES me.
Sorry to hear about the dent in your car (boy would I be cranky!) - sometimes one just needs to loose 60 seconds of happiness!!

Lin said...

aarrrgggh. That would make me mad too--how inconsiderate and rude!!

Oh well, at least now any future dents won't be as traumatic. But still....

Happy new week to you.

Seems we've had our share of unfortunate un-happy-makers this past month. Expensive ones, too.

You just have to look on the bright side and keep going. Right? :)
