What's a guy to do? Part V

Feeling sorry for how hard Pete
was having to work in keeping
his home safe from Stanley,
Catherine left some bird seeds
on the chair outside his door
in order for him to feed his guests
scheduled to arrive for the
pool party Saturday night...

it soon became apparent
that Pete wasn't exactly the
brightest crayon in the box...

"What's a guy to do? Part VI"
The Final Chapter
will be posted on Friday, July 29/11.

How will it end?

Will Pete prevail?
Will Stanley win?
Will peace and harmony reign?
Will Pete and Francine get married?
Will Stanley blow the whole shed up to end it all?

Poor Pete is off his rocker!!! I think, in the end, Stanley will move in with Pete!

It's me said...

Enjoy a happy sunday..........love ....xxx...

I think Stanley went out and bought a heavy duty friendly trap, will catch Pete and any guests, and relocate the party somewhere else. Do it soon before they consider moving into your place for the Winter months.

i think Stanley will win and peace and harmony will NOT reign because you will be upset with Stanley. thanks for my morning of howling with laughter. he may not be the brightest but he is the cutest

Hi Catherine, I really love to watch the film you make of Pete, here it is raining cats and dogs so it was nice to see and gave me a warm smile.

To bad that Stanley can't take a swim in the pool with Pete, that should have been a way to become friends.
But my guess is that Stanley let Pete stay and they become friends.
Because Catherine loves Pete already and Stanley loves his wife ;-)

I hope you have a nice weekend to Catherine.

Love
Tanja

O and I think that google translater translate the name of our cat Joris into George.

My God, he's as dumb as a hammer. I really doubt she wants to marry him. I still have a soft spot for him though. I hope he wins. Hugs, Deb

Stanley just does not look like the type of person who could blow up Pete's home, so I am guessing that somehow they will find a way to peacefully coexist.

The Chair Speaks said...

Aww, Pete in his enthusiasm toppled his chair!
We are with Brian and hope Stanley will move in with Pete! :D

Oh my! I just got caught up on the saga of Pete and Stanley and have been chuckling the whole time. I have to believe that there can only be a happy ending to the story. Maybe Pete and Francine ran off to Vegas and eloped and Stanley will be the godfather of their children. :) Have a great day. Tammy

Pete knows he is the star of the show, then he couldn't turn his back to the audience, right?! :D
The video was a great idea Catherine! Thanks! ;-)

Dearest Catherine,

Well, Pete gets already so much love and attention, he probably will stay where he is! He might need some more education though but over time, who knows how he will turn out!

Lots of love and thanks for such a great entertainment!

My guess is Stanley hires a backhoe and digs Pete a whole new complex...in somebody else's yard!

Sharon K. Mayhew said...

Awwww, Pete is so sweet! I hope Pete prevails and Stanley starts enjoying the beauty in the situation.

Fuzzy Tales said...

OMC, that was just too funny! Poor Pete, he's just another pretty face and not much else. :-P

We don't know what happened, but we can't imagine letting Pete be killed, so we say either Stanley has given up the battle or Pete and his family have been relocated, we think.

BTW, we've heard that if you live-trap squirrels, you actually have to take them about 30kms away from their territory, otherwise they'll make their way back. Wonder if it's the same in this case!

Mary Ann said...

I think Stanley will trap Pete and relocate him far far far away...but not here. We are having problems with way too smart raccoons :(

sharon said...

Pete will marry Francine, they will move off to greener grass and have little Pete's to give Stanley a run for his money. But alas, Stanley will probably win, but be gentle Stanley, Pete is so darn cute, he can't help it if his brother got all the brains!

I do hope Pete prevails, a Summertime romance ensues and soon there are many little Petes running about...

PS - Sorry Stanley but the underdog has to win sometimes!(no pun intended)

Betsy from Tennessee said...

Ha Ha Catherine. I laughed and laughed at that video. You are right... He's not the brightest of the bright, is he?????? For that reason, Stanley will win --and Poor Dumb Pete will have to GO...
Hugs,
Betsy

I hear tell that Francine took up with a wild character from down the street. Stanley takes pitty on poor Pete and invites him over for a cold one on the back lawn. Pete and Stanley become lifelong friends and can be frequently seen shooting the breeze by the old rocker. Stanley did clue Pete in on how to get that seed with less effort and Pete promised to not put that new addition on to his home.

Nancy @ A Rural Journal said...

I say Pete learns how to build custom rocking chairs, makes a boatload of money, buys the house next door to you and gloats over Stanley for many years to come.

Bossy Betty said...

Pete just needs a little counseling.

Linda R. said...

Well I have to say I am just luv'n this little series.. I think they are all going to become friend and live happily ever after..

Hugs, Linda

BeadedTail said...

Good thing Pete is cute since it's not too bright! I'm going to guess that Stanley took pity on poor Pete and let him stay in his condo under the shed!

Lin said...

Yeah, Pete's a tad bit dim, isn't he? But he is so darn CUTE!! And I like his little whistle. :)

Does it do any harm if he lives under the shed? I mean, if he doesn't break into the shed and make a mess of things. If he was a good boy, I'd let him stay.

Please, Stanley, PLEEEEASSEEE????!

missing moments said...

Stanley captures Pete and relocates him!

Linens and Royals said...

Here's how I see it.
Pete hurts his back trying to move rocker and is carried into the house by Stanley on a tiny stretcher made by Catherine in her craft room.
Francine runs off with someone she met on the Internet.
Banjo welcomes the new household addition and Peter (more respect now) and Banjo cling together as Stanley and Catherine noisely Party the night away in celebration of problem solving.

Forever Foster said...

Oh my goodness. He is the cutest, most nommable thing we have seen in a long time. We think he will prevail ;)

Katy Noelle said...

Too much fun, you know! I wait with bated breath to see....

Please excuse me, I, now, need to relay this latest installment to the chipmunks outside. They're absolutely engrossed...

Nancy said...

I'd say Pete is going to be relocated elsewhere in beautiful Saskatchewan........far far away from Stanley's shed!!!

Alisa said...

Too funny!

So funny, Catherine, Pete is so cute !
It would be nice to see Pete and Francine getting married and having lots of little ones :-)

Oh, Pete, Pete!! It was like watching comedy show! Great video, Catherine!!
My guess will be "Peace and harmony reign." He is such a funny boy - you should keep him :-)

Lesley said...

Catherine, this is just too funny, especially the video of poor dimwitted Pete. He's so sweet, I think in the end he will melt Stanley's heart and he will let him and Francine stay on for a while.

BumbleVee said...

that's hilaarious.... do you think he just wouldn't come around to the front part of the rocker because you were there? .....
hey...I need some little chairs like that for my bears.... where did you get them anyway?

Barbara Shallue said...

That was great - he went every which way but easy, didn't he? Can't wait to see how it ends - I think Pete and Francine will get married for sure :) and Stanley will build them their own little shed with a front porch where Francine will rock the babies in that cute little rocker. Wait, who's Francine? Did I miss one?

Tricia ♥Charming Barn Hunter♥ said...

I came over from Lisa's-The Creative Exchange & had to see about a gopher she was talking about & I'm so glad I did... Oh my goodness, you had me laughing my rear off... The end (of this post) sounds like the end of all the episodes of that tv show, Soap with all the strange & sorta 'mental' characters... remember that one?

I'm sooo not that imaginative, so I don't think I'll take a crack at the end & how things will turn out, but I'll definitely stay tuned! =)

LMWIEBE said...

Since I actually saw where Pete lives, I think that Pete will continue to eat Steve's garden and Catherine will allow Stanley to continue to try to evict Pete but every method he uses Catherine will turn around and undo. Like the time he blocked Pete's entrance with bolders and once Stanley went to work Catherine moved them :) Pete and Catherine will win!
Thanks for the soap opera!!

Sarah said...

Well, this is a good one. I think Pete will add more rooms to his abode. He will not only marry Francine but will invite her entire family to move in. Stanley will see the benefit when he no longer has to mow the grass or weed the garden. Or... Stanley will up the ante and bring in a wild card...Ratty the terrier. Ratty will fix that ole gopher...and your garden...but hey, the gopher will be history.
