Catherine how I wish we could swap weather for a while. We've had such hot temperatures lately and probably won't see rain before October. Even a densely overcast day would be bliss. I wouldn't have believed it - but I desperately miss a rainy, damp and cold day... just to be able to put a bucketful of logs on the fire, curl up under a blanket and bake, which I absolutely love to do but wouldn't dream of it in these kinds of temperatures. I say; you lucky girl! :-) Have a lovely weekend!

I wont tell you its to be 29 with the humidex here tomorrow, but I'd gladly trade.
Yummy delights will help to soothe the lack of sunshine and warm the belly.

Just bake and enjoy yourself. You know you're going to get the hot stuff sooner than later. It is so hot and humid here I wouldn't mind some cool rain. See....we are never happy. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x4

Furnace??? Really??! We had the air conditioner on for 3 hours today. No sooner did we turn it on that a cold front blew in and we turned it off. CRAZY Weather!

We are hunkered down at home too, but not because of rain. It is like an oven out there. Hot, hot, hot and dusty! Yuck! Your trip to Echo Dale Regional Park looked wonderful! And that Banjo is a beauty. Have a great weekend. Tammy

The sun is out here this morning but with a chill in the air. I like your plan for the day though and I'll remember it the next cold rainy weekend we have.
Love that quote and how true

I love all those things you are doing, but don't really think of that now. If I want to "bake" I just go outside for a minute...it's about 106F. LOL!
We are looking forward to some cooler temps when we visit Seattle next week.
Happy weekend!

I can't even imagine weather like that right now - it hit 106 or something like that yesterday. A cool front is coming through, though - only supposed to hit 105 today :)

It's sunny and hot here!
When it's raining and cold, it's a good idea to bake and warm up the house :-)

Seriously except for the baking (I make soup) that's exactly the way I deal with a cold rainy day. :)

I sure do wish we had rain here.. And we don't dare bake cause it heats up the house, which cost a fortune to cool down.. So I will just sit here with my milk and bag of fig newtons and dream of rain..

Hugs, Linda

Alrighty, your quote abut the weather changing.... that got my tired, spluttering laughter into gear!!!

I gripe that this is *all* that people talk about around here but, the truth is, there's so much "weather" that it's hard to not talk about. Thing is.... I'd like to move on from it, every once in a while - you know?
