Wishful Monday

there is never enough time on the weekend
to do everything creative and fun that I intended to do

mundane things like
laundry, cleaning, cooking,
and grocery shopping
get in the way...

I wish I had a fairy godmother...

or a maid...

I agree with that last quote, who needs a spotless house anyways!

You're correct, the weekends never are long enough. And in our case, when the mom has extra days off (a long weekend/holiday), somehow the time seems to pass without getting those creative things done anyway!

Catherine, I use the spotless house approach whenever needed, I'm too busy living life to concentrate on anything else. Yeah it gets done, but against my wishes!

If that quote is true, I'm living a very full life!!

a maid would be nice ... and a cook

A fairy godmother would be better than a maid as she could just wave her magic wand. A maid would only mess with my things and move them around. XX

I think a fairy Godmother would be a wonderful addition to my life! Ummm, who could we talk to about instigating that concept? Ummm, although I think I already have one; his name is 'my husband'...he does most of that stuff!

Well I guess I haven't misspent my life because my house sure isn't spotless...lol
I hate those mundane tasks too. Why is it that a simple little trip to the grocery store just seems to totally screw up a perfectly good Saturday

This is so true!! I love the quote. It's a great reminder to not worry about the mundane chores so much.

Cheers!

Hmm, a quote to think about !
I'd love to have a spotless house, so I need a fairy godmother :-)
Have a nice week, Catherine !
Hugs,
Sylvia

Well when you find this fairy can you send her over to my house?

I hear you don't do the time change in Saskatchewan? No wonder you're all such happy people!!!
Happy Monday Catherine!

I couldn't agree more! I miss being able to create and have fun but work is too busy and making me too tired to be creative or fun. Five more weeks until "me" time returns!

Hugs to Banjo!

Yep...I hear ya! All that housework limits my fun time. I told my husband that very same thing a few weeks ago, and he was not sympathetic!

According to my family room (and craft room, bedroom, kitchen, yadda, yadda, yadda) my life is very well spent. At least as far as Anonymous is concerned, that is (and what a relief to know it ;o)
