I would like to be a cat today...

It's Wednesday
I'm tired
I would like to stay at home today
but it's 'hi ho hi ho' off to work I go
I wish I was a cat...

I remember driving into work and every morning the radio show I listened to played that song, only changed to "I owe, I owe, so off to work I go." It looks like Banjo knows how to live. He's wearing almost a smug little smile, don't you think?

One of our cats used to hang over our bannister like that!! She was fat and she looked so comfy.

I used to think that all the time, oh to be one of our dogs or cats...

Hi Cat;-)

Yes the life of a cat is so easy, no whorries, just eat, sleep and enjoy life.

It would be great to be a cat for a day or two or three :) I envy Duke every morning when i leave for work so I guess it would even be nice to be a dog

The only plus to being sick in Jan/Feb was the chance to play cat.

To stare out the window, thinking my own thoughts with no timetable to think them. To eat when I was hungry and nap when I was sleepy. And love up on the critters around me when the mood struck me.

And now I want to do that while feeling well. Why do vacations never quite work out like that?

What beautiful cat pictures. I love cats and yours is quite adorable. I have often wanted to join my cat lounging in the sun.

Oh, I am with you on that one...but only a cat with a nice soft bed :)

They know how to live, for sure. As I get up at 5am to go to work, our three cats just lay there and stare, wishing I'd hurry up and stop making noise. I love them!

Banjo looks perfect, as always.

Hmmm, wonder what you kitty is talking about in that second photo. Or is that a yawn?

Prairie Girl Studio said...

as a child, my favourite thing to do was to find a sunshine spot on the carpet and have a wee nap ... just like a cat ...
i am finding that doing some of these childhood delights bring great joy now ...
ok, well maybe not on the carpet, but a sunny chair or sofa is unbelievably welcoming and soothing ... um, dare i say 'the cat's meow'?

Cute, cute cute, your first image in particular is adorable. You are halfway your day by now, before you know it you will be drinking a huge cup of hot tea in your favorite chair, Catherine xxxx

Yes it must be nice to relax on a tree branch all day or be like Banjo, sit around all day looking handsome and have everyone agree that yes, you are handsome Banjo. X

Back to thank you for the encouraging words you left on my blog. I agree with you. It is amazing when and annoying situation turns out to be a blessing in disguise. The even more thrilling part is being able to recognize it for what it truly is. :)

A cat that is lucky enough to have a good home, leads a pretty easy life! My cat has been enjoying the sunbeams a lot lately as well.
Glad to hear that you have some melting going on in your neck of the woods too! Can it be that the end of winter is in sight?
Naaaa......I am sure it will stick around a bit longer!

Romeo said...

Oh Banjo! - You are looking sooooo handsome! I sure hope Romeo doesn't see these pictures - he might start asking your Mom to take his picture too, claiming that he really is as handsome as you, it's just the picture taker is not as good as yours ;)

Have a nappish day Banjo!
