We're Back!

So in the hopes of forgetting about this
ridiculously cold weather and snow for awhile...

Yesterday
(re: "No Work Today" Friday's post)
Stanley and I
(our photo)
got up early
(me 4 am, Wayne 8:00 am)
hopped into the car
(photo of car keys)
got ourselves a Timmy's
(me Steeped Tea, Wayne coffee)
and drove to Regina to spend the day shopping
(my purse)
and out for a nice supper.
(or at least better than our often cereal for supper)

We then drove back to Moose Jaw
(which is between Swift Current and Regina)
and stayed over night at the
it's only an hour and a half away from us
but we have never stayed there before.

NOTE: the following photos are from their website

This was our room
the jacuzzi was piped into the mineral water.

This was the spa pool.
(for clarification ~ this is NOT me in the pool...haha!)
You could be inside
our you could swim under the bridge...

and be outside.
Friday night there was a -43 windchill
and we did go outside ~ twice
frozen hair and all!

We got home this afternoon
just before the snow hit...again...

It was wonderful to escape from
this crazy weather for 24 hours... :)

What a beautiful place for a getaway! It looks like the perfect place to escape the weather for a bit even in the spa pool! I have a feeling that to Wayne you looked way better than that lady in the pool. :)

The in room spa looks so wonderful, as does this whole get away. I'm for getting away, away as far as possible from all this snow, which we received more of over the past 2 days! I want to go to Moose Jaw, where ever that my be!

Oh My Gosh, Catherine... That is wonderful---especially the spa... I could sit INSIDE in that pool for hours and hours...

I'm sure you two enjoyed it --and I know it was nice to get away on a 'romantic' getaway.... I'm envious...

oh you lucky lucky girl ... what a wonderful escape!
i have yet to make it to moose jaw and slip my toe into those wonderful waters, but soon i hope, soon!
every super cold morning, my hb and i say
do you suppose this was it? the coldest night yet? and then the very next morning as we thaw the water pump in the basement, yet again, we just groan.
we've decided not to say that anymore as we think we are jinxing it and causing each time to be even colder!

anyways, enough enough ... thanks for sharing your time away and the lovely spot that eases these last grips of winter ... : )

happy sunday ~
