We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming...

you know I try to stay all
positive and happy on my blog
goodness and light
look at the bright side
life could be worse
blahblahblahblahblahblahblah....
you know I do...

well sometimes I feel the need to vent
to allow myself a little 'pity party'
to do a bit of crying and complaining
to call 'a spade a spade'

*~*~*~*~*

after all,

I can buy myself flowers
to simulate 'spring like' beauty
and post about how grand life is...

I can post spring buds from my photo archives
to remind myself that spring will eventually get here
giving myself encouragement to have patience...

I can post photos of Banjo
looking so cute
to make me happy...

I can post photos of some of my garden trinkets
tucked away in the shed awaiting spring
like the starting of my owl collection that I enjoy...

but the fact is
it's still winter...

it's nearly the end of February
and the snow is still up to
Puss n' Boots' neck in the garden...

sigh...

I know I know...

suck it up...

move on...

I will return you to your regularly scheduled programming tomorrow...

You're certainly allowed to vent, that's just way too much winter!!!

You forgot to add that it is also friggin' freezing!
We Canadians put up with WAY too much winter!!

...and I ask you again, What in Heaven's name are you doing up there where you get so much snow??????

sorry, I had to chuckle when I was reading your rant and I'm not chuckling at you but oh my gosh, I truly would go stark raving mad if I had to endure all that winter!

so rant and rave as much as you like! I would definitely do my share, in fact, they may have to sedate me so I could hibernate the winter away! It may just cause a lady to drink (and I don't!)

No problem, dear Cat. It's going around... I feel a rant coming on myself... :)

Oh Catherine, you've plenty of reason to complain ... a lot of snow and cold !
Here it's cold too, but the snow is all gone since January. We have rain but also sunny days.
I wish I could send you a lot of sunshine ... in the meantime I enjoy your pictures !
Big hugs,
Sylvia

You are being very civilized about this all. I'd be a screaming manic, clawing at the windows.

I've got your room here in CA ready whenever you need it....

It's nice to see you vent for a change, to know you're human too. LOL.

We're slated for up to 25 cms (gee, thought it was 20, but...) tonight and tomorrow. Already there are a few flakes in the air.

Trust me, I'm ready for winter to be over, especially *this* winter from h*ll. Wait, if it were winter from the proverbial h*ll, it would be hotter....

You have my total support! Enough is enough, right?

We are not having anything similar around here, but I already feel like screaming. Where is the green? Where are the flowers, and leaves, and lawns to mow?

Hang in there, Catherine! It will pass.
xoxo

How timely that you are venting about the snow on the same day we woke up to 4 inches of snow today here too! Just when I thought spring was near Mother Nature showed me who's in charge. Oh well, we're one day closer to sunny summer days!

We are all so different. I am dreading the summer when I have to hibernate because of the heat. I love the cold rainy summers when the world around me complains. I'm happy then. Anything but heat...

I love snow, but Not as much as you get. A rant is called for. Love your uplifting photos. We are expecting bad storms tonight.

Are you kidding me? Did we now buy the exact little container of tulips at Safeway too? The ones we can nip off when bloomed and plant in our gardens ?.... hahahha.... I bought the pink ones....

Ann said...

if only I could vent in as lovely a way as you do :) You go ahead and let it out. I'm right there with you only in snow that isn't quite as deep

Catherine, you know that no one loves snow more than I do, but even I got a little bit discouraged when we had some on Tuesday--Like you, I'm so ready for spring--So ready that I bought a new little statue for my flower garden...It'll look great if that darn snow ever melts!! I'll hang on for spring, if you do too!
:-))

PS: I've been meaning to tell you that one of the brands of dog food that I buy says on the packaging that it is 'tested by humans.' Can you imagine having that job??

Catherine..your rant is mild to some of the choice words I have for winter this year. *Stamps feet* ENOUGH already, come on Spring!!!

Becca said...

It's ok Catherine, you can complain about that! Spring is still not here in my mind either. We will be getting rain/snow showers on the weekend. A good weekend for crafting I guess. I hope you will remember this, when you are reading my posts in July and I am whining over the heat and how all my plants are dead then! LOL!

Charlene said...

I know how you feel! We had temps in the 40’s a few days ago and got slammed with snow last night. blah!...I’m so terribly sick of snow.

Lesley said...

Oh, you're allowed to have a little moan when it's accompanied by such lovely cheerful pictures!
