Oh Deer FedEx Was Here

Yesterday,
Wayne took me out for a drive
to the Research Station which always yields
a good photo shoot of the deer!

There are quite a few that live in the city here.
I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing,
but they are very enjoyable to watch.
And they are never too scared of people.

I just worry about them having enough food to eat,
without having to raid people's gardens or yards.

After all,
it's not like they can
FedEx their food in...

like some pampered pets...

Banjo won some treats from
Angie at Cat Lady Land in December
and he received them just before Christmas.
Thank you to Angie and all her kitties!
(a very funny feel good cat blog ~ check her out!)

Treats and Toys
all in one!

After all,
what kitty doesn't like a box to tear and chew! :)

Happy Sunday!

Such cute pictures. Our crew won treats from Angie, too. They love them. As far as the deer eating, I think they do ok because of the way their hoofs are shaped they can dig under the snow easily and get to the grass underneath. Albeit, the winter is tough for them and they work hard for every bite. I wish people would put food out for them. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5

You must be getting better, if you can be taken out of doors. Good! Sounded like the most terrible flu you had....

I worry about the wildlife and food all the time. We do as much as we can but it's never enough.

Banjo doesn't look as if he needs feeding!! He's quite portly if I may say so coming from another portly person!! :)

So sweet of you to worry about the deer. We had 2 motherless twins outside my work over a year ago. They weren't afraid of anything and would come up and look inside our office windows back then. Sooo cute! I don't know for sure, but I would like to think the 2 deer that still hang out over the hill from our building, are the same 2. They sure are stuck like glue to each.. just like the young onces were. :-)

Oh congrats to Bango.. another pampered pet.. as he should be!! :-)
Hugs,
Coreen xoxo

We have deer on our property every day...and trust me...they get loads to eat...namely my shrubs, and trees in the winter, and my flowers in the summer! I love looking at them...just wish they would not eat my stuff! AND they are not afraid of me, I can go outside to chase them away, and get within 4 feet of them before they decide to take off.

This is very cute post!! Banjo must be so happy to have treat, toys and a box!! We see dears around the house too. I agree, they are very enjoyable to watch. My worries is that it is dangerous for them to come to the city because of cars. I want to tell them to be careful and watch for cars.
Have a great week!!

I love the pictures of the deer! Having once bagged a 12 point with a Honda Accord, I always worry most about their proximity to the road :o) Yay Banjo; I got a giggle out of that last shot (typical "little kid" playing with wrapper instead of the present *grin*).

Those are such cute deer! They look so fluffy compared to those in my neck of the woods... ;o)
