No Rhyme nor Reason (Odds n' Ends)

7 more sleeps until Christmas!

This time next week,
I will be warming cinnamon buns,
making french vanilla coffee
and getting ready to open presents
with hubby, son and cat!

A very quiet Christmas is in our plans.
As is a white Christmas....

Thank you to BumbleVee
for these sweet gifts sent to me in the mail!
The little white birds
are now on my tree!

Thank You to a friend from work
for these pretty homemade
cards, notepads and Christmas decorations!
(You are so thoughtful Jackie!)

Thank You to another friend for the
beautiful silk scarf ~ you are so kind!

Thank You to stray Calico Bunny
for leaving your rabbit 'droppings'
and yellowing my clean white snow!

I see you have grown
a very thick and warm coat.
I will worry less about you this winter.

And to sweet orange and white stray kitty...
I'm sorry the SPCA quarantine room is full
and they do not have room to take you.

But do not fear,
you will always have food here every night
and a shelter in the Cedar trees
for as long as you need it.

Hope you everyone is ready for Christmas...
here it comes...
ready or not! :)

Hello Catherine! Along with a busy week, I'm being plagued by problems leaving comments on blogs...I'm hoping that this makes it onto your blog...I've enjoyed reading posts I've missed, and I'm glad that your bunny is going to be warm, and 'your' orange and white kitty remains safe too with a full stomach! Enjoy your weekend!!

Hi, Cat!

Well, I've left the stressful side of Christmas and come over to your side! Will it really matter if it's all done? NO! I just can't get worked up about anything, this year, either. No christmas tree up, only half the house cleaned. No baking done and I should have ordered those last gifts a week ago! Ah, well! Not feeling like getting in a tizzy, I decided not to do the annual open house that always makes me too exhausted for words by the time it's Christmas. The open house..... that's where the food that is our special, once a year treat is. sigh, this year, we'll just have to eat all of the cookies ourselves. (Maybe, I should go back and have a read about your "spirit of giving", too.)

It's just a joy to read your posts!!!

Love, Katy xo

Lovely post - I always enjoy visiting here. Sending warm thoughts for the kitty - maybe you should adopt him as an outdoor cat - do you have a garage? That is what Jacqueline did for Daddycat and Mommycat. I have decided to get the camera you have - will be looking for the best deals.

Very picturesque shots of the snow! Looks beautiful (even if I know the treachery of traveling in it)!

That's a cute bunny : ) We have all sorts of rabbits roaming around here too. We usually look at them from the window and them to eat more grass more quickly so that we don't have to mow the lawn... of course, they never really take us up on this offer. I suppose we should get a flock of sheep...

Have a Merry Christmas!

I just want to know why your snow is so much prettier than mine is?...lol Those really are gorgeous pictures.
It's hard to believe that Christmas is only 7 sleeps away

Oh I envy that beautiful white snow scene you have out your door! (but only until Christmas, then it can go away. LOL!) It sure makes for some lovely photos! We're getting rain, and it's supposed to be for a couple of days straight! weird for us. Now that I have time off I need to get busy...MIL will be here Monday! Have a great weekend!

Lovely post and pics.
I can see you have a soft spot for strays too... I've been feeding an orange feral tabby for two years now.
He won't let anyone close but he does love sardines.
Stay warm.
