My Promise ~ Sunday #1

So here we are,
the first Sunday of December,
and as promised from
I accomplished two activities last week.

They are so little,
but they come from my heart...

Gift #1:
Taking food, bleach, towels, Canadian Tire money
to our local SPCA.

Banjo inspected the gift bag
to ensure everything was in order!

While there,
I of course had to spend a bit of time
cuddling some cats and kittens...

and all these kitties were so cuddly!

While it is sad that these kitties
don't have a home,
I know they are being
taken care of very well.

It's warm,
it's dry,
there's food and water,
and their cages are
very very clean!

This sweet girl had a very hard life out in the cold.
She had many batches of kittens
many fights
a frozen ear
but she was so full of trust and willing
to take all the attention I could give her...

love love love...

Oh sweet kitty
I think my Banjo is going
to be sniff sniff sniffing me
when I get home!

There were about 4 more that I played with
but it's very hard to try and cuddle kitties
and take your own photo,
so I opted for missing the photos
and concentrated on the sweet cats and kittens! :)

Gift #2:
I sent a grocery gift card
to a family that needs a little extra help
this holiday season.

"If you can't feed a hundred people,
then just feed one."
~ Mother Teresa

Watch for another "My Promise" post next Sunday night!

Have a beautiful week!

Peace on Earth

Those are two very special promises kept! It's so wonderful you were able to cuddle with the kitties while you were at the SPCA. The last time I tried to do that, I started crying and felt like such a wuss. I just want to take them all home with me!

May God bless you for your great deeds!!! What adorable kittens - I wish I could have one but I have bad allergies... so please scritch Banjo's ears for me!

Theese is excellent that Banjo helped you by "inspecting" the goods to make sure they were up to snuff for the other kitties. And theese was MOST excellent that you gave the kitties your kisses and cuddles. (I hopes Banjo wasn't TOO jealous when you gots home.)

You are a good lady, Catherine. We bet the kitties loved their extra snuggle time. It's so important for them, too, to keep them socialised and relaxed while they wait for their home to find them.

Absolutely wonderful, Catherine!

Thanks for visiting my Musings blog -- I have that and the cats' blog (Fuzzy Tales).

Nice to see another Canadian!

BTW, the cat shelter was easy to do, as you saw, and inexpensive. Maybe you will be more creative with yours!

You are a human I am PROUD to know Catherine! Especially after reading Sheaffer's blog again yesterday.... wherein a poor little pony had to be put down due to many years of neglect and abuse....

Those kitties ...oh, man.....if poor Mr. BV wasn't so allergic to almost everything.....I'd like that first guy...who reminds me of Banjo right off.... and I love me a tiger stripey....

I'm so proud of you, Catherine... It is much better to give than to receive. That is what Christmas is all about.

Those kitties are so precious. Hope someone adopts them... And your gift card to the needy family is special also...

Oh Catherine, this post is wonderful. It just warmed my heart and the photos at the shelter are fantastic. Funny thing, I had just finished a post for tomorrow about dropping in to your local SPCA over Christmas and spending some time with the animals and how they would appreciate it. You are way ahead of me. You're a great lady. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5
