It's still winter...

the winter wind is howling outside
there's a 60% chance of flurries today

I am going to make myself another mug of tea
crawl back into my bed
with my laptop
catch up with my blog friends
and in-between snoozes
I will watch a movie
or two

someone wake me when it's Spring please

I hope you have had lovely christmasdays? I have spend the mine in bed, the flue, brrrr. Christmas was over before I realized it.
Today it is much better, I am free the whole week, so just like you I am going to make myself a mug of tea and catch up with the blogs.

oh, you cheeky monkey...back to bed indeed! ... hahhahha....

love your new pics on the header.... all so pretty and frosty white...

we are still Chinook-ing.... and have been for a few days again... gotta love the great wintery days we sometimes get here just a bit further west than you guys... it's just 0C and going up to +5C again today.

I'll be busy doing a few things.... we are having some neighbours over tomorrow and I must try to get a bit tidy and organized for that. And dig out my new little appetizer recipes to try on them...

Jalapeno Poppers....and some roll ups.. and I already made a Tortiere, because one of them keeps raving about the one I made about 5 years ago.. I did make a cranberry chutney to go with...but,...eh...it's not as great as I would like..I may even try another batch... whoa....better not over do.... there will always be tomorrow to finish off things.

My tree is staying up til well after New Year's ...I didn't get it up til two weeks before Christmas...and I love to look at all the sparkly lights.... for as long as I can get away with it. By the end of New Year's week Greg starts to ask when... but, I have a little old Ukrainian lady for a neighbour and I like to leave it up for her Christmas...which is around the 8th of January I think.... I'll take it down when I see hers gone...

Hi, Cat! Happy (this side of) Christmas!!! We are getting our very first real snow storm, at this very moment. Although, we have had severely FRIGID weather for December for well over a month, now. Enjoy you cozy day! You'll never guess what I'm doing with my snowed in day... decorating the tree and taking pictures. Yes, that's how the season went for us, alas! On second thought, relocate to the couch and share the blanket - my toes are cold! What movie are we watching? I'll bring the tea! =]

I spent most of Christmas in bed so today I'm happy to be feeling better and getting on with things OUT of bed!!

You should have been a bear then you could miss winter altogether!!! :)

How I wish , I could do the same as you are doing today, but I had to work =(...

Well, the new year is pretty near now, and I hope it will be a better one, than this was, even if I think my year was pretty good!

Have a really cosy day!!!

I love the new header Catherine!

I wanted to stay in bed this morning too--The wind is really howling here today, but we totally dodged a snow-storm! I think it's only because I was so ready for it!

I hope you're continuing to enjoy your day!

That sounds like the perfect way to spend the day! Hope Banjo is staying warm by cuddling with you too!

Hi Catherine, Sounds like a good plan. We still have lots of snow here --but it has finally quit snowing and is supposed to warm up as we go through the week.

I loved having a White Christmas here which was a first for us in many years. BUT--I hated it that my sons and families could not get here.... Sigh!!!!

Happy New Year.
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh, I don't know Catherine, this sound cozy and nice to me! At least it is if you don't have to get out to go to work! I could totally get in to snuggling up with a good book, the kitties, and a view of that snow! Beautiful header by the way!

Your new header is beautiful. But Brrr it looks so cold. Glad I am in the warmth of Yuma. Love you lots and miss you more!

CatherineLovesRoses said...

Ooooh I see it´s so cold in your beautiful part of the world!! But I´m sure that hot cup of tea worked miracles!! Those little winter pleasures sometimes are the best thing a woman can do, I love saying too myself "Catherine, it´s too cold outside, maybe you could do with some decoration magazines and doing nothing for the rest of the day" :)

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas day with all your loved ones, send you a big hug and kisses!!!!

Sounds like a great plan...I think I will do the same. :)

Stay warm!

Yes, napping. It's a grand thing to do while it's cold outside. Go back to sleep, it's not spring. Yet.

Purrs!
