Tis the Season...

I am!

And as you can see,
Banjo was a very BIG help to me yesterday.

I guess he was making sure
the Christmas boxes
stayed still.

He's gotten MUCH better at helping
since we was a wee kitten.

No more hanging out
in the branches for him.
Thank goodness.

But after getting all the decorations put up,
it was time for a rest.

A sneak peek...

Now it's just a matter of keeping
Banjo away from the sparkly balls and
white feathery birds
for the next six weeks.

Let the games begin...

Happy Monday!

Kitty in the tree is so funny! We were lucky that with all of our eight, none of them took to Christmas tree climbing!!

Banjo is definitely a better help now!

Our tree doesn't go up till a week before Christmas and when I lived in England (where I was born and raised) it didn't go up till Christmas Eve after I was sleeping then it was there Christmas morning as if by magic, to me anyway!! Then it would stay up for the Twelve Days of Christmas!!

It's me said...

Dear Catherine, I hate to admit it but I am not feeling the spirit yet! I usually get it right after Thanksgiving, I am still deep into Autum :0) Your tree is gorgeous and so are your photos and Banjo, of course! Hope you have a beautiful week XO

I was feeling the very same way on the weekend (Christmassy), but I didn't get around to decorating the tree yet. What a gorgeous tree! Love the header too!

Amazingly I AM in the Christmas sprit already! We are celebrating early this year - the Saturday after Thanksgiving - with my parents and siblings. I have to get some shopping done.

LOVE seeing Banjo as a kitty :)

Catherine I love your tree!! I zoomed in on the little owl, my eyes were just drawn to it. Adorable! I look at Banjo in the tree, and know this may be my tree this Christmas with the 2 new cats. I'm hesitant, but what's Christmas without a tree? Cat and all!! Great, fun beautiful post!!!

Wow --what a fabulous Christmas tree, Catherine... I love it.... Makes me want to decorate right now--but we always wait until after Thanksgiving.... (I know--you have already had your Thanksgiving.)

Hope Banjo stays away from that beautiful tree....
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh baby Banjo! Such a cutie! Of course he's very handsome now and such a huge help with the Christmas decorations! Your tree is so beautiful and we hope none of those sparkly balls and white feathery birds fall off for unknown reason!

It's looking very festive in here. Love it. I'm probably in more of a Christmasy mood this year than I have been the last couple of years but I still won't put up my tree or any of the decorations until after Thanksgiving. Your tree looks fabulous and Banjo did a good job of helping

Hee! Hee! I love Banjo in the tree! I guess that's what you get when you load that tree with fuzzy birds and breakable ornaments!! It's a good thing he doesn't try it now as he looks like he's around 46 lbs!!! ;)

Sigh. I STILL cannot believe you have decorated already. You're killing me. I hate the decorating part.

Catherine - every year I think your tree gets more beautiful. You have such an eye for beauty. Sorry I won't be with you this year as I will be in the desert for Christmas but thank goodness for your wonderful blog.It makes me feel close to you. I love you and your great family and of course handsome Banjo. Your new banner is so nice.

I love Banjo!! Much more fun than our cat at Christmas time. However, we had our share of 'christmas tree climbing & lovin cats' when the boys were younger! That's when the 'glass' bulbs got put away. lol

Have a Wonderful week!!!
Hugs,
Coreen

That is adorable!
Somehow, I don't think the fish are going to help me get the snowflakes up... but I can just imagine them being all sulky in their bowls and ignoring me while I'm standing on the chair and getting glitter all over the place.

The tree looks lovely : )

Banjo looks like one of them resting beside those teddy bears. Cute!

ah..hahahha.... cats and trees...they just go together don't they? wish I had some pics of mine in the trees... I don't have cats anymore...but, had plenty in the days gone by. And they all loved "helping" with the trees in so many ways!

Tamago said...

Wow you decorated the tree so beautifully! I hope Banjo just enjoy watching the tree and not climbing...:-) The picture of Banjo with stuffed bears is so cute! Maybe he is pretending to be a bear?

Your tree is so beautiful! I love the whites and silvers...I seem to be drawn more to the softer colours as the years go by.
These pictures of Banjo remind me of a Christmas a few years ago...I was staying at my cousin's house, sleeping on the couch, when I woke up in the middle of the night to a soft tinkling sound....there, in the middle of the tree, staring at me was their little kitten..caught in the act....just like these pics! (Did I tell you this last year? I feel like I have already told you this story...anyways...)

There is a possibility of snow in our forecast for this weekend!!!!!!! If that happens, then I will be feeling Christmassy indeed!
