It would be wonderful, but I think if we had to work as hard at staying alive and keeping warm as the little nuthatch, we might not have a problem either with tight pants! I have always marvelled at these tiny birds who are flitting around when it's -30 and they survive! They have no break from the cold like we do but they just keep on living with our help or without it.

Yes---that would be neat, wouldn't it???? I have a blog friend who constantly tells us what he has prepared for breakfast or dinner... I've never seen so much fattening food in my life... I could gain weight just reading what he writes... Don't know how they do it.....

I have seen some chunky little birds though...some that are definitely getting more seed than others. ;)
