Hello Catherine!! With "other things" keeping me busy, I've really missed my visits to your blog and "think" I'm all caught up on your adventures! I have so enjoyed your lovely pictures and posts! I continue to admire your talent to come up with such delightful post and beautiful pictures to go with them! :-)

Oh Catherine, I am so sorry to hear about Banjo... I hope that the medication is helping. I don't know what that is ---or what the prognosis is... So you'll need to tell us more. I'm just hoping that what you are doing is helping --and that Banjo is fine and will live a nice, long life.

Again, I am so sorry... We all would do anything necessary for our pets, wouldn't we?
Hugs,
Betsy

I hope Banjo is okay - and I totally relate to pet expenses. But oh how I love my Doogie!! And, that is one adorable picture of Banjo!

Oh dear, I am sorry to hear about Banjo's condition, and have not heard of that condition before. You are right, love from a cat is priceless and I may add, beyond rubies and all rare jewels in value.

Catherine, I was so caught up catching up with your blog, that I forgot to tell you that I'm so sorry about your precious boy Banjo--My Brother's cat has had the same thing for a few years and is fat, sassy and still full of lots of attitude, kind of like Banjo!

What is megacolon Catherine? I'm not familiar with it, but I know love conquers all! Keep up with the belly rubs, I know you love that.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about Banjo's condition and all the medication and new food he has to be on. I haven't heard of that diagnosis before but hopefully he's going to be okay. He's such a handsome boy and I just love that photo of him (of course I love all photos of him!).

I don't want to even think how much I have spent on my animal friends in my lifetime....or theirs. It's about love, my friend. And within reason, we do what we do because we love them too. And if he can be treated and still live a good life, I'd be doing the same thing.

I love your cat too. ;)

Hope Banjo does well on his meds. Not an easy thing to treat I hear. He is lucky to have you!

Aw, poor Banjo. :-( I know I would do the same for one of my cats. It can be expensive, but I love them too much so I would find a way. Banjo is so sweet (love this photo of him) Hang in there Catherine, he knows you are taking good care of him & he loves you. Give him a belly scratch for me! :-)

Poor Banjo, I had never heard of that condition before but good old Google told me all about it. Hope all that expensive food and medication helps and he stays well.
My 2 girls are now on expensive and hard to find here special food for their ageing kidneys but it does seem to work. We all do what we have to do for our pets, they are family.

So sorry to hear about Banjo's
diagnosis. I wasn't familiar with the term so I looked it up. I do hope that the medication works for him. Duke and I will be sending him good thoughts.

I am sorry to hear about Banjo's health problems. I have a special needs dog that will always need physical therapy and meds. He is three. So I understand, it doesn't matter because they give us so much everyday in spite of their needs. And we love them so much for it.

Hugs,
Julie

Oh, Catherine! I'm so sorry that Banjo is sick. I don' know anything about the disease, but hope the new food and the medicine will help him feel better. Our babies mean so much to us, it's hard when they are suffering...

MedaM said...

Look at that cute face. Your Banjo is absolutely adorable. Catherine, I am so sorry to hear about his disease. I didn’t know what Megacolon disease is so I found on internet that it is a disorder characterized by partial or complete failure of the contents of the intestine caused by a lack of nerve cells in the wall of the lower digestive tract. Left untreated infections complications are possible, fire hoses, and even death. I do hope that Banjo will be ok. I honestly wish for him long and health life.

I hope Banjo will do well with his treatments. It can be more expensive to have a sick pet than a sick human family member, considering medical insurance etc. But he is so sweet.

I love people like you....who will do anything for their pet. No matter the cost. Some people just don't get that, but I do. They are family. I hope Banjo is doing ok.
I think this is my most favourite picture of him, ever. What a sweetheart. And you too...such a sweetheart.
