Happy Sunny Day

With all the rain we've been having
{it's plopping against the window again this morning}
one should not waste a sunny day such as yesterday.

Wayne and I went to Sask Landing to have some lunch
at the Club House and to sit on the beach.
The lunch was lovely.
The beach... not so much.
Where's the beach?
The river was high from all the rain.
The beach was non existent.
There was not too much to see.
Just water and grass.
Little snippets of beach here and there.
There's some beach...
but sadly on the other side of the river...
Someone started making a tepee.?
Or perhaps it had originated as a raft?
Hey...
what's that shining in the water?
Money?
Buried treasure?
Wayne jumps over the side of the
over hang to investigate.
A quarter??? One quarter?
Wayne decides he can now afford
an XL coffee at Tim Horton's on Monday
instead of just a large.
No buried treasure for us.
I guess we will be living on love awhile longer Stanley...
And as I head into my last week of holidays,
I head back to bed soon to watch the
season premiere of Ellen.

Happy Monday!

Lovely photos!

Sounds like a good time. There's always something to be found in travels or leisure, even if it wasn't the thing you intended
: )

I hope it was a good tasty coffee!

Glad to hear you're finally getting some wonderful sunshine! Unfortunately the rain has come over here, but we've been so fortunate lately that we're not complaining!

I'm glad you got a little sunshine. :) Don't you just love it when you find money...it's so much fun! Katherine and I found a quarter about two feet deep on the beach one time. What was funny was it was a new quarter...

Enjoy yourself this week!

Oh Catherine, So glad you all had ONE day of sunshine. Looks like you had fun at Sask Landing. Glad you are 25 cents richer... BUT--since Wayne is going to spend it today, I guess your wealth didn't last long... ha ha

Hope you have a good LAST week of vacation... I'm doing my sunshine dance for you now.
Hugs,
Betsy

Your water is way up and our water is way down. Wish we could arrange a happy medium! I'm glad you got some sunshine, and I wish I had a beach nearby.

Hi Catherine!! This landscape is so beautiful and stunning, looks so different from the ones around here...No buried treasure this time, but I guess love sometimes is more difficult to find than a buried treasure...So better having love than lots of one quarter coins ;)

Have a wonderful Monday my dear friend!!

Love the photos!

And there is nothing wrong with living on love! As a matter of fact, I must admit that there is nothing more important than having a family who is blessed enough to be in love with one another:)

Thank you for sharing your rainy day. We get very few of them here in Southern California.

Hugs,
Debbie

This post reminded me of the time when my husband and I went to visit a gold mine in Alaska, where you could pan for gold--My Mom joked with me that if we found a shiny rock to pick it up for her--Wouldn't you know, we found a shiny rock in the parking lot, and it was a gold nugget! You never know where treasure is going to turn up!! :-))

We've had such a terrible drought this summer - actually, the whole year! People's wells are going dry and everything is so crispy. Although, now, the weather has indeed changed and we've been getting snippets of rain. The grass is greening up a little again but the trees really need a good soak! I am worried about the foliage, this year.

It apparently makes for great tomatoes, though! Lots and lots and lots and lots of tomatoes!
