Fog Mist and Beauty

The other morning I woke up to find mist and fog thick in the air outside. I grabbed my camera and went outside. {After I got dressed of course!!}

There had been spiders at work in our garden over night. I didn't see any spiders but there must have been scads of them as there were many many spider webs all over our house and garden that hadn't been there the night before. I couldn't even count how many webs there were. I have photographs of at least 28 of them.
The strings were covered in mist and dew creating the most beautiful images. I should have went back into the house and changed to my macro lens but as it was so misty and wet out, I didn't want my camera being outside too long.
Then there were the numerous strings of webbing that weren't actual webs, but simply strung about from thing to thing. Connecting everything in my backyard.
As the sunlight started piercing through, it created little rainbows of color, reflecting in the droplets of water, seemingly spaced so evenly on the strings of webs.

Webs from branch to branch. Tree to tree.
From high up to down to the ground.
It was amazing.
It was magical.
It was beautiful.

Yesterday I learned from Cats of Wildcat Woods that today is Fragrance Free Friday!!! And as a person that has chemical allergies ~ I find that most enjoyable! Go check them out for more information.

Sometimes I find it hard to find good fragrance/scent free products ~ especially beauty products. I had used Dove Scent Free hairspray for years. Now they stopped making it (or at least I can't find it anymore). There is only a few other companies that make scent free hairspray. But the product is crap. Needless to say... I've been having some very bad hair days... :(

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have an amazing magical beautiful weekend!
Wonderful shots! Spiders are so industrious, aren't they? It's always fun when they do it on a dewy morning
Magical indeed. It is a little bothersome to think of how many spiders are amongst us though :( Oh well, have a wonderful Friday, Hugs, Deb =^..^=x5 (+2 freeloaders)
Oh Catherine, what beautiful photos. Spiders are wonderful little artists. Nature can be so very beautiful.
I'm currently in the process of replacing many of the products in my house after I had an allergic reaction. The doctor thinks it was from prolonged exposure to one of the chemicals in something I was using, rather than a one off. I've been quite shocked at realising how much junk is in the supposed 'organic', 'dermatologist approved' etc products.
Your photos are so beautiful! Spider webs have always amazed me - except when I run into one and get the eebie jeebies! Your photos will have me looking at them differently from now on and seeing their true splendor!
Wonderful pictures of the mist/fog/webs, Catherine. Those spiders are so creative when they weave their webs, aren't they? Guess they are getting ready for a long, cold winter!!!
Our church asked people not to wear any scented perfume, etc. since some have terrible allergies. We need to be respectful of others.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
Wonderful photographs, they are mysterious and almost haunting because of the fog!...Oh, the spider webs are beautiful in your photos, but I do not like spiders!...I am sensitive to fragrance but not allergic; sorry about the hair spray, I have never used any, so I have no ideas for you there...Happy weekend, Catherine!
I love mornings like this too! The spider webs are so intricate and each unique and beautiful, and your photos really show that.
I also prefer "unscented" hairspray, etc., and don't like all the "cool sounding frangrances." I just don't need all that--Give me simple and unscented any day!
I hope you have an enjoyable weekend!!
Haunting fog. Really. What a neat post on the spider webs. I find those "orb" ones,(is that the right word?) especially beautiful.
I was here, yesterday morning, with my guys, and we were all oohing and aahing over this. It's incredible! I've never seen anything like this. Well, then they all wanted their breakfast and I couldn't leave a comment. Yup.
btw, we have trees turning colors, here, too - not just the usually early ones, either. sigh.
Love, Me
Hi Catherine, those spider web photos are lovely! I'm kind of glad the spiders were all hiding though, LOL. I have such a fear of spiders, and have never really seen webs like that. Thank you for sharing the "beauty" that something so scary to me can actually create! The dew on them is amazing. Love all of your photos!
Hope you are enjoying the weekend. :-)
Your photos are so lovely!!!
I am a scent free person too! My kids notice when their friends smell like dryer sheets, because we get everything unscented. I am glad more companies are doing the Free and Clear version. I always buy that!
